I have pine and spruce trees in my backyard, and every spring there's lots of chirping from the local birds. I love springtime and watching the birds, but unfortunately there's usually a baby bird that gets tossed from its nest and ends up in my yard. Sometimes my dogs will get to it before I even know it's there. Other times, I'm able to locate the nest, and with the help of my husband, we place the baby back in its nest, and hope for the best.

There's many things in our lives that create stress, and It's how much power we give to those occurrences that can have a negative effect not only on ourselves, but on those close to us. Sadly, health is one of those things that is not usually appreciated until it is lost, and a positive and happy state of mind has an enormous influence on our physical and mental well-being.

The first thing that initially impressed me about this forum, was that the information in the posts, especially by the established long-term members, was without a doubt, a step above anything I had read on any other health forums.
What I observed was that the posters giving advice and recommendations not only knew the subject matter that they were discussing, but whenever they felt it was beneficial, they would also include additional reference, study and opinion-related data to...
Fifty years old, a half-century of living, sounds intense to some people who view aging as a curse. I think it's much better to see it in a more positive light, we're blessed to have reached the age we are and should make the most of our precious years left here on this earth. Live for today, look forward to the future, and most importantly don't make the mistake that so many folks make by living in the past.

The reasons why people choose to join a health forum are very individual, and can vary to be sure, with no limitations. Some of us were always health conscious since childhood and have never lost an interest to continue with healthy eating, lifestyles, exercise and attitudes.
