Yellow Dock Root Herbal Oil for Itchy Skin

Hello Everyone,

I am new here so excuse any issues with my post. Just let me know so I can fix it.

How can I make an Herbal Oil with Yellow Dock Root?

I have a book (the herbal apothecary by JJ Pursell) which tells me to add Yellow dock root to oil in a 1 to 10 ratio. However it doesn't tell me if it is 1 to 10 volume or weight. The same book also warns me to make sure that the herb I'm using is oil soluble. I couldn't find anywhere that could tell me if Yellow Dock Root is oil soluble.

I just checked out the recipe you linked me to. It says to use a stove top and measure the temperature to keep it the same. I was wondering if I could just use the oven and set it to the specific temperature?
