Spam is always a big problem for forums; health is one of the most spammed topics. No wonder health forum is the target of all kinds of spammers, and it's not easy to keep a health forum clean.

If a member comes here only for promoting websites, he will be banned immediately to save both his and my time. People who post for links only create non-sense posts, which is very annoying and bothers every one. These kind of posts look legitimate but if you look into them, you will find they talk about nothing at all, they don't read before they reply.

I would agree with this, as I have my own forum as well as I modurate another natural health forum and spam is a big issue there. It can't be avoided unfortunately. One just has to keep deleting the spam.

What are your feelings though if someone posts a quality post with valuable information, but there are links promoted?

If a member's intention is promotion, his couldn't create quality posts. He posts not because he has something to say, but because he can promote something. He may create one or two good posts, but inevitably, he creates much more non-sense and spam posts. Why should I allow this kind of annoying members?

Over the years, I have seen too many of them, and all ended up with bans in the end.
