I tend to visit a smattering of sites. For a general overview, I often drop by The Drudge Report. It's often too sensationalistic for my taste but they don't cater only to me.

It's not much to look at, I agree. But, it's one of the most read news sites on the 'net.
I like it because it collects a broad spectrum of news items from literally hundreds of sites. It also links to hundreds of other online newspapers, magazines and columnists and occasionally "breaks" stories before other news-sources are even aware of them.

I know this is an older thread, but ditto to Drudge, WND, and InfoWars. I strongly suggest checking out the Alex Jones podcasts and/or streaming. It's free.
