I love this stuff!

I'm fascinated by the orbs too but I don't understand what they are. Most think of them in a spiritual way and yet, during the time that the huge spaceship or UFO was supposed to arrive last October 14th, they were saying that there were aliens that were not visable to us....so I wonder. The crop circle made by orbs story is the only one I have heard of where people actually saw an orb....I'm inclined to think that may have been balls of light that have been reported over several years as UFOs instead of orbs. I'm definately not an authority on the subject, I'm happy to say! Just pondering.

This one reminds me of old paintings of christ or the saints with multi-circular halos around their heads



Most of them are concentric circles of light.

This last photo from the same website kinda blew my mind. I have seen this kind of phenomena myself. The people I was hanging with at the time called them stramlium flairs. It appeared to me over the Jemez mountians in New Mexico and it was in a Z shape. It was a clear night...no chance for lightening.

There appears to be a smokey trail behind it. It almost looks as though it was moving so fast that the camera captured two images of the same thing in one click. Very interesting!

Spent the day thinking about orbs ....and found out that I don't have much thought on them...so I came home and did a quick search and this is what I found.

....Soooo, the more I read the less I believed that they were anything than an optical illusion caused by the cameras. No one, not one single report of a true visual contact with an orb.

The evening the orb picture I posted above was taken, it was pouring rain. That's why my grand-niece's hair was so straight. I've thought it possible that the flash from the camera could have reflected onto the lens. (correction...the flash could have reflected off of the raindrops!!) But another photograph taken indoors another time with my digital camera also had orbs, but was less pronounced. I just can't say what they are.

I don’t have any idea of what orbs might be, but I find it hard to believe that they are just dust. Are we saying that all dust particles are round, or if there is dust in or on the lens of the camera would it not be in the same location on each picture?
This does appear to be a phenomenon that is related to digital cameras rather then film cameras.

Digital cameras are known to be sensitive to a wider range of frequencies of light then a film camera. I took this picture using a single IR LED.



With the light from this LED I could not see the pen, wasn’t even sure I had the camera pointed at it, yet the camera was able to see it and convert it into an image that could be seen.

Could this be what the digital cameras are doing? Taking pictures of something that is outside our visual range and converting it into something we can see?
