You should see the centipedes. 1 inch wide, 5 inches long, black with bright yellow legs, bright dark red heads, extremely toxic, creepy, and fast.
Far more insects here than in northern California.

My big fear: scorpions! I hear Texas (especially austin and san antonio) are loaded with them.
