Wordpress is good, I have used it for a few blogs including health salon. It's a blog platform, probably the best one. But if you want to use it as CMS other than a blog site, I would suggest drupal, it's much more complicated, though.

yes, I realize that wordpress was originally designed for blogs.
but, it is being used more and more for CMS. but.. usually when there is only one user (owner/content writer) for the website. When there are multiple users.. they say that drupal is better. and.. if you have a store, or othey types of "applications" besides blogs. but, you find wordpress easy to use? |

Although Wordpress is used as CMS on some sites, those are basically blog style - just publishing articles, no real difference from blogs, you can tell if a website is powered by WP at a glance. It's easy to use, but hard to get a unique look.
Drupal is much more powerful but has a steep learning curve. Last edited by Kevin; 01-19-2008 at 01:00 AM. |
