Subject: Peroxide

"I would like to tell you of the benefits of that plain little ol' bottle of
3% peroxide you can get for under $1.00 at any drug store. My husband has
been in the medical field for over 36 years, and most doctors don't tell you
about peroxide, or they would lose thousands of dollars.

1. Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and
hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe
or shower.) No more canker sores and your teeth will be whiter without
expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash.




2. Let your toothbrushes soak a cup peroxide to keep them free of germs.

3. Clean your counters, table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a
fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe, or spray ;
it on the counters.

4. After rinsing off your wooden cutting board, pour peroxide on it to kill
salmonella and other bacteria.

5. I had fungus on my feet for years - until I sprayed a 50/50 mixture of
peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry.

6. Soak any infections or cuts in 3% peroxide for five to ten minutes
several times a day. My husband has seen gangrene that would not heal with any
medicine, but was healed by soaking in peroxide.

7. Put two capfuls into a douche to prevent yeast infections. I had chronic
yeast infections until I tried this once or twice a week.

8. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water and keep
it in every bathroom to disinfect without harming your septic system like
bleach or most other disinfectants will.

9. Tilt your head back and spray into nostrils with your 50/50 mixture
whenever you have a cold, plugged sinus. It will bubble and help to kill the
bacteria. Hold for a few minutes then blow your nose into tissue.

10. If you have a terrible toothache and can not get to a dentist right
away, put a capful of 3% peroxide into your mouth and hold it for ten minutes
several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

11. And of course, if you like a natural look to your hair, spray the 50/50
solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You will not
have the peroxide burnt blonde hair like the hair dye packages, but more
natural highlights if your hair is a light brown, faddish, or dirty blonde. It
also lightens gradually so it's not a drastic change.

12. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath to help rid boils, fungus, or
other skin infections.

13. You can also add a cup of peroxide instead of bleach to a load of whites
in your laundry to whiten them. If there is blood on clothing, pour
directly on the soiled spot. Let it sit f or a minute, then rub it and rinse with
cold water. Repeat if necessary.


14. Use peroxide to clean my mirrors with, there is no smearing, which is
why I love it so much for this.

I could go on and on. It is a little brown bottle no home should be
without! With prices of most necessities rising, I'm glad there's a way to save
tons of money in such a simple, healthy manner!

About the shop one - in the uk it is pharmacutical grade

the food grade is pretty expensive (have to get in Ireland)

This has made me think - I wouldn't put pharmacutical grade
in my body but I am going to buy it for my counters etc.

Not sure about the hair, feet, bath
as what you put on your body goes in.

I wonder what ideas anyone has on this.
What is the difference between the two
is it something that may not be that dangerous if used externally?

The ordinary 3% or 6% solution is the one usually used for external application. I use it as a mouthwaysh, soaking toothbrushes, cleaning in the kitchen and so on. If anyone has cuts or grazes, the hydrogen peroxide is first used to wash the cut, then cover with a plaster strip (this morning I bought some impregnated with silver, and I also started pouring some dilute mixture on my hair after shampoo.

It's safe enough, but the foaming action takes some people by surprise, until they are used to it!

If I wanted to swallow it as an internal medicine I would get the food grade, if I could.

Thanks. Those are some great tips. I'm going to keep a copy for myself. Your tip #9 reminded me that some people will put a few drops in their ears for a few minutes a couple of times a day. They claim it works to fight off colds and flu.

I've been using hydrogen peroxide for years as a mouthwash, antibacterial (it stings in open cuts, but heals them faster than anythings else), and antifungal (cures athelete's foot completely in a short time).

I now mix it with bicarbonate of soda and salt and use the paste it to brush my teeth, instead of expensive toothpaste.

Thanks very much for the other tips. It's certainly one of the least expensive useful things you can buy these days. I'm going to try it on mirrors.

I passed up buying hydrogen peroxide from the site you posted a long time ago because they sell "technical" grade for a hefty price then add a very high shipping cost for shipping a hazardous substance. The shipping cost may be required but not everyone does it. They spend a lot of time trying to down-grade 35% food grade because they don't sell it and they want to sell the product they carry.....or so it seems, but Dr. David Williams and several others say not to use anything internally except food grade.....I have used it internally. Anything that's absorbed by the skin ends up being internal. Here's another link to the site that shows more of what I'm getting at here.

What would be a good medium for testing to see whether H2O2 is old and inactive I've had mine a while.

It seems to lose its "fizz" after a couple of months of being opened. I don't use it after that; not that it's dangerous or harmful I don't think. It's just too cheap not to buy fresh.

My food grade is about 2 yrs old now and still 'fizzes'.
It needs to be kept in the fridge with the lid loose.

I always use HP on cotton buds in my ears for a cold.

I do sometimes use it for my teeth
but the fridge is downstairs and I clean my teeth upstairs.
I really need to sort my life that really is no excuse

Personally I wouldn't use anything other than food grade internally
and really think that if I am using it externally it is going to
go in through the skin.

It is illegal to put 35% in the post in UK
(infact the people I used to buy from had to stop selling any
so now I have to get mine from Ireland.)
They used to have theirs delivered by special 'truck' of some sort.
Then they had to treat it to make it 6% food grade to sell to the public.

The 3-6% solutions are safe to use. But I wouldn't recommend messing with the 35% stuff. That's very corrosive. Besides, it can lead to explosive mixtures when combined with inflammable liquids (alcohol, ether, acetone).
