Link?
Sorry you all. However, it does work for me, by just
clicking on the link above. I just did it. It's the same that I typed into my Internet finder. Here it is again https://home.bluegrass.net/~jclark/alkaline_foods.htm Darn, it's such a great link. I copied it from the HSI Forum's first page on pH thread.

Early Bird, the first link you gave had too many "c"s in it. After I removed one it works OK. I think it said jcclark, not jclark. It's a good source!

Ph balancing
I bought a book yesterday at my HFStore, entitled
"The Acid/Alkaline Diet" by Christopher Vasey, N>D. Revised Second Edition I spent yesterday afternoon and nite readinf it Excellent book, you all. This pH thing is way more important and involved than I ever imagined. According to my urine tests of yesterday and this am. I'm at '5' or slightly below. The litmus shows barely yellow No wonder I've been feeling so darned crappy Vasey has a weblink - www.christophervasey.ch I've not tried it yet, Let's hope the above works!

pH Balancing
I have been working on my pH balancing, but mostly
from The pH Miracle book, by Robert and Shelley Young. My order of Green Powder came early this week, and I had my first.glass of it on Tues afternoon. I have terribly poor vision, mostly due to Diabetes, but also a beginning cataract, and Fuch's Dystrophy, an eye disease that caused my mother's total blindness. I usually am able to drive on grey, gloomy days only. Everything is like looking thru a Fog! :x Along with a restrictive diet of No meats, dairy, pastas, breads, condiments, pickles, most fruits except for lemons, limes, grapefruit, This Green drink is the only thing new I've taken. Well, This morning, I first noticed that my TV picture wasn't fuzzy. Then when I looked outside later - the Sun was out by then - I was dumbfounded. I could look into the Sunlight w/no discomfort, no squinting, etc. I drove to the grocery 4 miles away and later to our open air farmer's market - all in bright Sunlight - with almost perfect vision. It's almost like a Miracle I am ecstatic! It's also eventually sipposed to help w/my Diabetes, constipation, all kinds of other problems. With such Quick success of my vision which was totally unexpected, you can bet I'll be staying on this for the 3 to 6 months recommended. I have no idea how many decades my body has been overly acidic, but if re-alkalizing it only slightly can create the success I've had with my vision in the last 2 days, I'm very optimistic

Supplement for alkalinity
Was wondering if there was a simple inexpensive supplement that could be taken daily to make the body more alkaline and less acidic.
I bought some pH test strips a long time ago, and my numbers were all over the place! Urine and saliva results were always much different, and numbers would change constantly...very confusing to me I have read some info online, but I'd like it to be more simple to grasp. All I know is an acidic environment in the body can promote many diseases, including cancer So far I've simply added some lemon juice to my drinking water some days. Is there a citric acid supplement that can be taken? |

If you turn your diet to veggies and fruit juices, eliminate meat, candy, bread, soda pop, you will get alkaline ....and drink plenty of water. It takes time to detox.
Green products are helpful like this:iHerb.com - Search - greens I like Greens 8000 the best for flavor. Baking soda is used by some. I recommend the book the PH miracle by Dr Robert O Young, purchased used on amazon. dr robert o young - Google Video Here are a few videos by Dr Young that are informative. You will also have to work on eliminating parasites, microbes that we all have. Things can change for the better after that is done.

I have come to the conclusion that I must be mineral deficient after drinking filtered water from my Pur pitcher for over 5 or 6 years. I only hap-hazzardly take mineral supplements because I take so many other things that I have trouble keeping track of it all. I bought bottled water two days ago, I think it's called Smart Water, that has magnesium chloride, potassium bicarbonate and I think sodium and calcium. It sounded very close to what Mark Sircus recommends, except that they don't tell how much of each mineral was added. I take an Iodoral tablet twice a week too.
Minerals are important for helping you to be more alkaline and I believe sodium bicarbonate, that you mentioned Arrow, is best, from what I've gathered by reading about it. The normal dose is 1 tsp sodium bicarbonate dissolved in a half or quarter cup of cold water once a day, and if your system is very acidic some take it two or three times a day for a while. I would take magnesium, potassium and calcium too. It's pretty impossible to get enough potassium from a supplement because the FDA limits supplements to only about 2% of the daily requirement, so eat foods that have lots of potassium. |

I've found pH to be a great tool for determining the state of my health. I have the correct pH when I'm eating lots of green veggies, drinking plenty of water and avoiding processed food as much as possible. Getting regular physical activity helps tremendouly as well, as it contributes to the body being able to detoxify itself.
I think any high quality "green" supplement can definitely assist in achieving a proper pH (about 7.4), drinking enough water, getting good rest and physical activity regularly all contribute to good health, measured by good pH. I don't always have perfect pH, but I've gotten to the point where I can tell by how I feel if I'm "acidic" or not A simple article explaining pH: What the heck is pH? Cheers, BB |

Lemon-Water Does A Body Good!
The advice on drinking plenty of water is right on target. Doctor F. Batmanghelidj wrote some excellent books on dehydration and its link to most diseases. Everyone should be drinking at least one 2-liter bottle of water a day. I also recommend adding some lemon to the water. Lemons are acidic by themselves, because of the citric acid, but their effect on body chemistry ph is very alkaline. Since they also contain significant amounts of important vitamins and minerals, taking lemon with water every day is a very good idea! A slightly alkaline PH is critical to good health.
