I put this together a couple of years ago with the bird flu scare. Got some ideas here I may add. The onion skin thing is interesting. Have any links or further info on that, Iggy?

When the flu comes:
I recommend that you prepare well in advance for if you wait till the last minute these products will be gone. Many people know about these alternative treatments and the stores will be rushed upon.

Vitamin c
1 to 2000 mg every hour until diarrhea occurs then back off some
This is called reaching bowel tolerance. When the body has all the vit c it can use diarrhea occurs. After diarrhea happens wait a few hours and start again.

Grapefruit seed extract.
purchased at any healthfood store
Gargle with it. 4 gtts in about 4 ounces of water 3 to 4 times a day
Drink it. 1 drop per 10lbs body weight. 4xday
You may also purchase this in pills. Take at least 3 pills 4x day if situation is critical. One pill a day if common flu
With pills increase or decrease dosage according to size of person.
GSE is nontoxic in even the largest dosages

olive leaf extract
standardized to at least 15 percent but use any you can fined if you can't find this.
Average adults 3 caps 3 x day
Increase or decrease dosage according to size of person.
This is a nontoxic product

Beta Glucon from NOW products

https://www.iherb.com/betaglucans.html
Start taking this as soon as you hear about the first case or better yet start in October and keep at it till flu season is past.

Colloidal silver

purchase at healthfood store
1 ounce every hour if condition is severe
otherwise 1 ounce 3 x day
gargle with it and hold it in your mouth up to one minute before drinking it
This is a nontoxic product

Hydrogen peroxide
Purchase at any drug store or supermarket
several drops in the ear 3 x day
do one ear then the other

Herbal Formula
Will probably treat 5 or 6 people. I purchased 1/4 ounce each of these, except the mushroom blend where I purchased 1/2 lb. Purchase chopped herb, not powdered. Mix all ingredients and soak in glass jar covered with vodka for 6 weeks. Strain. put into dropper bottles. Start using as soon as flu hits the state, I mean the very first minute. Carry it with you. Will build immunity and attack virus, anti inflammatory properities.

https://www.herbaladvantage.com/

Product Name Product # Price X Qty = Total
Astragalus Root Powder 11-035P1 $4.50 1 $4.50
Echinacea Ang. Root Pwd 11-187P1 $21.95 1 $21.95
Ginger Ground 11-260P1 $3.42 1 $3.42
Licorice Root Powder 11-395P1 $4.56 1 $4.56
Mushroom Blend of 4 Powder 11-6105X2 $31.56 1 $31.56
Olive Leaf - Powder 11-4905P1 $3.86 1 $3.86
Cat's Claw Bark Powder 11-100P1 $4.89 1 $4.89

Total about $74 dollars with about $5 for shipping.

Phenocaine
https://www.donsbach.com/arthritis.htm
may help with pain and inflammation associated with flu
1 or 2 caps 2 to 3 times a day

Ozone Protocol

If you have ozone equipement follow the ozone protocol.
but vitamin c will inactivate ozone so do not use together.
At the end of the day after all ozone treatments give Vit c 10gms.
Separate ozone treatments by several hours from vitamin or other drug therapies.
It is unknown if ozone affects drugs.
Stop all unnecessary drugs you may be taking while combating the flu. You will have to determine the risk of stopping drugs for a few days.
It you decide to take a drug just for the flu I can not say the effects that ozone may have on it.

In Germany they give ozone intrmuscular injections to fight flu.

Disinfecting your environment
Grapeseed extract, 50 drops to a quart spray bottle.
spray all surfaces a contaminated person is in contact with
keep a bottle each bathroom, kitchen and near front door
after washing your hands spray your hands or put about 10 drops of GSE in your liquid hand soap or dish soap
Add 10 drops to your dishwasher
50 drops to your laundry

I recommed that you purchase ozonators. They are about $40 each from this site. https://www.ozone.enaly.com/EOZ-300Y.htm

you will need 1 medical grade and 2 room air ozonators.
Use one ozonator for the room of an infected person
Use the other ozonator near the entry door and use it to make ozonated water also.
The medical grade is for respiratory treatments and insuffalation.
See the next page for more details.

I want to make sure i can read your posts, Mad Scientist!!! especially with a name like "Mad Scientist" !
Im in a suburb of Chicago just west of OHare airport where I can watch the jets making chemtrails. It was a virtual blizzard, although today it is about half melted.

I write all my posts using a word processor. With my spelling ability this is imperative. What it is unable to correct on the fly Im then able to go back a correct.
The fonts that I am using are actually quite large over there, but when I cut & paste they magically shrink.

So let me try a new font. How about this?

sounds like a good plan. I am a pretty good speller, but queen of typos. I use a firefox extension for spelling.. but it isn't as nice as a word editor. so, I understand the need to be able to correct. and it is probably better to do it somewhere else. I have a tendency to be in a hurry, hit the post button, then read it 5 minutes later, and think, "holy toledo.. how did I miss that? . but I'm better than I used to be.

too much

MUCH BETTER!!!! Thank you! now I can read your posts easily!!!

btw, if you click the A/A button in the upper right hand corner, it will show you the "source". being a "mad scientist", I bet you can see what VB is doing, and how VB is doing it. You can change the source.. not that you want to do this, but it is nice to know. but this might give you a clue as to what is happening between your word processor and VB.

When we caught this virus thats going around down here... I tried all the tricks.. it seemed like we had gotten rid of the virus, but the fatigue and the aches just hung on for weeks... I am beginning to think I am still fighting the stuff... woke up this morning with another sore throat. I asked our naturopath about how to finish knocking it out, and he said that our normal arsenal wont work... He believes that the virus is man-made, and said the only thing that will kill this virus is ozonated eucalyptus oil (maybe it was extract??) So, I did some hunting, and from what I am reading, its some pretty powerful stuff... Sounds like this needs to be put on everyones list... I just looked up the info about the eycalyptus.. didnt look for ozonated... But I am assuming, that putting it thru an ozonator would make it stronger.. (right arrow??)
Quote:
Overview
Eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus globulus ) is a tall evergreen tree native to Australia and Tasmania. Today, most commercial herbal preparations originate in Mediterranean and subtropical regions, including Spain and Morocco. The leaves and oil of the eucalyptus plant are used for medicinal purposes. Eucalyptus oil consists of the volatile oil distilled from the fresh leaves and branch tops of the eucalyptus plant.
Topical ointments containing eucalyptus oil have been used in traditional Aboriginal medicines to heal wounds and fungal infections. Teas containing eucalyptus leaves were also used to reduce fevers. The therapeutic uses of eucalyptus soon spread to other traditional medicine systems, including Chinese, Indian (Ayurvedic), and Greco-European.
Throughout the 19th century in England, eucalyptus oil was used in hospitals to clean urinary catheters. Laboratory studies later revealed that eucalyptus oil contains substances with strong antibacterial properties. Studies in animals and test tubes also found that eucalyptus oil acts as an expectorant (loosens phlegm in the respiratory passages), antiseptic (prevents infection), and deodorant. Like eucalyptus oil, the leaves of the eucalyptus plant contain substances that have expectorant, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties, but the leaves are also believed to help reduce inflammation and reduce fevers. In fact, one study conducted in Russia found that an alcoholic extract containing eucalyptus leaves helps relieve chronic ear infections. Many researchers believe that the beneficial effect of the eucalyptus tincture may have been due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
The two things on my list to buy this year, (before they make 'em illegal) is the silvergen, and an ozone machine.... I think they will be lifesavers in years to come!
I have also started buying latex gloves and the face masks.. I also found a company down in houston that will do in home IV treatments... asked the man if they would be allowed to do vitaminC IV protocol if I had a script, and he said he didnt see why not... that might be something to look for in your area...The name of the company down here is apria healthcare.. www.Apria.com

oops sorry, the site for the info about the eucalyptus is https://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/e...tus-000241.htm

Dr. Eade's advice:

Quote:
there is a product on the shelves of most health food stores and natural food groceries that really does work. However, most people don’t know about it, and when they do see it mixed in with all the other cold medicines, they don’t know how different it really is.

The product is umckaloabo, an extract from the African plant Pelargonium sidoides. The P sidoides extract is used extensively in Europe, especially in Germany, to treat colds and other respiratory illnesses. And the product is not used on a wing and a prayer like our OTC remedies are, it is used based on sound science.

There have been multiple double-blind, placebo-controlled studies showing that umckaloabo works significantly better than placebo to treat bronchitis. (1-3) P. Sidoides works in several ways to restore health: it has some direct antibacterial and antiviral activity, but it works primarily by increasing the activity of the immune system and by releasing interferon, a potent antiviral substance.(4)

Since there has been so much scientific data showing the efficacy of the P sidoides extract in treating bronchitis, a group of researchers in Ukraine decided to test it to see if it would reduce the duration and severity of the common cold. A multicenter, prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial was designed and 207 patients recruited. All patients were tested for strep to ensure that their symptoms didn’t have a bacterial cause.

The primary endpoint of the study was the reduction in severity as measured by the Cold Intensity Score (CIS), which is a scale derived from the sum of scores for 10 cold-related symptoms: sore throat, nasal drainage, nasal congestion, scratchy throat, sneezing, cough, headache, muscle aches, hoarseness and fever. At the start of the study the CIS was the same in both the treatment and placebo groups. After fie days the CIS had decreased by 10.4 in the treatment group and only 5.6 in the placebo group.

A secondary endpoint of the trial was the duration of symptoms. The number of patients cured (a CIS less than or equal to 1) by day 10 was 78.8 percent in the treatment group as compared to 31.4 percent in the placebo group. Days absent from work were less in the placebo group as were the number of days with less than 100 percent usual activity level.

...

In my opinion, the best way to prevent colds is to maintain good health and an adequate level of vitamin D throughout the year. That’s what I try to do. But if I succumb, I make a run for the umckaloabo.

Vitamins Reduce the Duration and Severity of Influenza

(OMNS, March 19, 2008) Vitamins fight the flu by boosting the body’s own immune response and by accelerating healing. Individuals can be better prepared for an influenza epidemic by learning how to use vitamin supplements to fight off ordinary respiratory infections. The most important vitamins are vitamins C, D, niacin, and thiamine.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D has known anti-viral properties [1] and has been directly associated with fighting influenza in a recent scientific review. [2] Extensive evidence now shows that vitamin D serves as an important regulator of immune system responses. [3] The most dramatic evidence is a recent double-blind trial proving that vitamin D prevents cancers [4], supported by two recent epidemiological studies. [5,6] Vitamin D has been part of a supplement combination proven effective against HIV in a recent double-blind trial. [7]

During a viral infection, the body can draw on vitamin D stored in the body to supply the increased needs of the immune system. The withdrawn supplies of vitamin D are quickly replenished with 4,000 to 10,000 IU/day doses for a few days. Due to biochemical individuality, we recommend vitamin D blood testing as a routine part of a yearly physical exam.

Niacin

Niacin has known anti-viral properties. The most persuasive evidence comes from recent work with HIV patients.[8-12] Niacin is required for cells to generate the energy they use to perform virtually all biological functions.
Niacin’s effectiveness fighting viruses may have to do with accelerating wound healing as well as improving immunity. Accelerating tissue repair limits collateral damage and minimizes the risk of secondary infection. Niacin has been proven to promote healing of damaged skin in double-blind trials. [13] Other recent findings (niacin reduces injury to the brain after strokes and reduces inflammation in general) also provide evidence of healing. [14,15]

Niacin, 500 to 2,000 mg/day in divided doses, is generally well tolerated during periods when the immune system is fighting viral infections. One takes such doses for several days starting at the onset of a viral infection. Dividing the dose reduces flushing. Using "no-flush" form niacin (inositol hexaniacinate) eliminates the flushing side effect.

Vitamin C

Strong evidence shows that high doses of vitamin C prevent common colds and reduce a cold’s severity and duration. [16] Given the similarities between cold and influenza viruses, the scientific case for treating influenza with vitamin C has been investigated and shown to have merit. [17] Fighting influenza with vitamin C has been tested in the clinical setting and reported to be effective at very high doses. [18, 19]

Extraordinary quantities of vitamin C, between 20,000 and 100,000 mg/day, are surprisingly well tolerated during periods when the immune system is fighting viral infections. These large daily amounts are best taken divided up into as many doses per day as possible, beginning immediately at the first sign of a viral infection. To achieve maximum effect it is necessary to maintain high concentrations of vitamin C in the body. Large, very frequent oral intake of vitamin C can maintain much higher blood plasma concentrations of vitamin C than is generally believed. [16, 19, 20]

Thiamine (Vitamin B1)

Two items of recent scientific research have shown that the B-vitamin thiamine has anti-viral properties. TTFD, one of the fat-soluble forms of thiamine, was recently proven to be a potent inhibitor of HIV virus replication [21]. Thiamine was shown to be an effective treatment for chronic hepatitis B. [22]

Influenza killed more people in the two years following World War I than all soldiers killed on both sides in four years of machine-gun warfare. Influenza has been and remains a serious threat to human health. There is a great deal of public concern about the possibility of a repeat of the 1918 influenza pandemic.

Vitamin C, niacin, vitamin D, and thiamine act together to strengthen the immune system, and to optimize health. Intelligent, high-dose vitamin supplement use can do much to eliminate the risk of death and disability for individuals with average health, and dramatically reduce the hospitalization and death rates amongst the most vulnerable members of the population.

I put one drop in my palm, put my toothbrush in it, and move the toothbrush around my gum area. then I usually end up rinsing.. (it is strong). but I can feel it afterwards.

so.. I shouldn't be doing this?

well, good thing I decided to try it before telling my husband/son to use it.

It's fine if you can tolerate it! I wondered if you were going to have a surprising experience, as I did once, using the oil. You don't seem to be suffering from shock, so it must be the right stuff!
