Zinc Acetate May Reduce Cold Duration
There's been so much discussion, both pro and con, about zinc's role in combatting the common cold. Some experts believe that using a particular form of zinc may be the key to an effective outcome (shortened duration of the cold).
Here's a recent study that supports that theory: Quote:

One thing I find works for me is Glutamine. I like how it's made me feel, since I started taking it, in conjunction with exercise.
Since taking it I found I've had reduced symptoms, and also better sleep, and normal digestion. I was only using 2 x 5tspns a day. Once after training, once before bed, and once on non-training days before bed. Since I've started taking a Whey Protein again packed with Aminos, I'm probably taking a about another 5g a day on training days, including the Glutamine dose before bed on it's own. Definitely I agree with Zinc in the relation with Colds, it's been touted as an Immune System benefit for some time . |
