Foot fungus and Lamisil
Hi all, I am new to this whatever we are doing here like maybe Blogs? SO sorry if ..... i don't do it right.
I have a foot fungus. It all started from abusing advil while having many years of back issues. At that time I couldn't even bend to see my feet. Anyways four years later and I can see my feet I have to say its humiliating. I have tried tea tree, grapefruit seed extract, sugar free, etc but I lose focus and have not seen any positive changes. I have been told by my doctor that Tamisil is the only way. I don't believe its the only way but I am researching this drug and wondering if I may have to try it. Any feed back? I have read lots on line but perhaps someone on this link will have had first hand experience.
Thanks,

Do you mean Lamisil? Also, for many fungal infections, oral antifungals are used.

Please do not use Lamisil. It is a very dangerous drug and cause liver problems long into the future. Soak your feet in your first urine in the morning for 15 minutes daily.
Before long I will be posting an extensive article on a fungus treatment but I am out of time today as the Library is closing.

Well, I must admit I have never heard of this before.
I was going to suggest soaking your feet in colloidal silver water. If the fungus is on one or two toes, you could get hold of some latex gloves. Cut the "fingers" off the glove and slip it on the affected toe along with a cotton ball soaked in colloidal silver. Use tape or a band aid to seal it, then go to sleep with it on.
You will most likely have to do this for a few days because fungus is difficult to kill.
Colloidal silver can also be sprayed into socks (light mist) and also sprayed into shoes.

I agree with Arrow...the best fungus killer I have ever seen is your own urine...My father in law use to have toenail fungus issues...all the meds the doctor gave him didnt do diddly... so we stopped them... We used vicks on the toes, cajeput oil, silver and a few others...but the best results were from his urine and we found that out accidently...it got to the point where he couldnt get to the bathroom fast enough, so he would end up wetting himself including his slippers...trying to get to the bathroom...so then when I gave him a urinal, he somehow kept missing and getting his feet.... did a good job..the thing with toenail fungus, is that you have to be consistent!! twice a day treatment, no matter what for a bare minimum of 6 weeks...even if your toenail looks better or the fungus looks like its all gone...keep doing it for at least a month after it looks like its gone....and then if you notice that its coming back, start immediately back treating it again... and in my opinion...if you have toenail fungus and keep wearing the same shoes, its never going to go away... I think they hide in the material of the shoe....

I have found iodine to be a good alternative. I have a form that is mixed in a petroleum jelly substance that make it easier to keep on the toenail or toes. Iodex is the brand. You can Google it and find it in several places. Here is the one I use, but look around for better prices. https://www.baar.com/Merchant2/mercha...Category_Code=

I had toe nail fungus on five toes. After using the Rx medication for 8 months faithfully, I had fungus on all ten toe nails.
At that point I found a posting by Dr. Walt Stoll using white vinegar. It took 6 months of daily use, but the fungus all went away and stayed gone.

On the other hand, my daughter had fungus on one of her thumb nails for 12 years. She tried the oral Rx nasties but they didn't help--neither did the white vinegar. What finally worked for her was Vicks.

I think we are missing something here... if i have toenail fungus, wouldnt that mean that I have fungus in the rest of my body....Are we only treating the outside symptoms and not treating what is causing the problem.... I have toenail fungus, and I can make it go away...will be gone for a few months, but then it comes right back...i use to say, that you have to keep treating it for longer then what you see the symptoms, but again are we just treating the symptoms?
So then, is getting rid of fungus as simple as getting sugar and carbs out of our body or is there more to it.... Does that Doug guy that pbd and ??? talk about have the right idea??? If you knew you had fungus in your whole body, how would you treat it?????

I've heard that both white vinegar as well as Vick's Vapor Rub both work for many; I can't speak from experience
as I've never had a nail fungus.

DMSO + SSKI is mentioned on the net for toenail fungus.
DMSO assists with deep penetration into the tissues.
SSKI (= Super Saturated Potassium Iodide solution) has excellent repute as anti-fungal, as it oxidises slowly, releasing elemental iodine.
NB SSKI, like iodine, causes brown stains

If you don't mind me asking, how do you get fungus from abusing Advil?
It's a good idea to alternate the things you use to get rid of it so the fungus doesn't develop an immunity to one thing. Also, if it appears to be gone, continue to use the anti-fungals for a few more months to be sure. Keep your feet dry and buy new socks.
You can also use tea tree oil, oregano oil, rosemary oil and manuka oil, all made more effective with DMSO.
