I really need to know how I should fortify my body prior to having this surgery and any advice you can give on easing my mind.
I love God and pray daily for a speedy recovery and a healed body.
Thank you so much

Welcome to the forum. My suggestions are keep up with the D3. The probiotics you will need to start taking a couple days after surgery to replenish the good bacteria the antibiotics will kill off. I would also suggest the following (to be stopped 2 days before surgery, with the exception of the Vit c which you want to take up the day of surgery (or day before)
1) Vit C 500 mg
2) Blueberries
3) Fish Oil Capsules (just 1 a day for a week before surgery and stop 2 days before).
4) A GOOD VITAMIN E that is natural and contains the other tocopherols. 200 IU (Remember to stop 2 days before)
5) A zinc gluconate tablet 25 to 50 mg take 1 one week before surgery and one 3 days before.
I will explain. Vit C helps healing and stress (such as surgery) depletes Vit C. Blueberries: Good source of antioxidants and they will help healing. Vit E: If your Vit E levels in your blood are higher, you will have less scarring. Fish Oil: helps healing and many other things, but also thins the blood in higher doses. I just want to make sure you have a decent level in your bloodstream before surgery, but not to much. Zinc: helps healing.
