Here is what the European Union will be implementing shortly, effectively a ban on 95% of non European herbs. Most people are totally unaware of the Naploeonic law that operates in Europe. While most countries in the western world have a justice system of the accused being innocent until proved guilty, Napoleonic Law is reversed and assumes you are guilty until proved innocent. One of the most sinister aspects of this is the EU Council of Ministers have passed a law that it is illegal to criticise the EU. Its not being implemented yet, but its there on the statute books. Like I mentioned before. The EU has passed many nasty laws. In Portugal restauarant owners and chefs must (by law, under penalty of very very large fines) buy certain corporate produced products (pepper sauces and some other things) and are not sllowed to make them in house.

Unfortunately, this is highly contagious.

so while I know this is not a good thing, and I know they are going to bring this to the US and other countries...is this basically buying already prepared products or does this also include home grown remedies? Do we all need to start planting our own herb gardens now??? I got a book at a garage sale today from the seventies. its called "the practical encyclopedia to natural remedies" by mark bricklin. a quick glance led me to a section titled the the ten most practical medicinal herbs: how to grow them and how to use them. The ten they list are comfrey, garlic, camomile, peppermint, cayenne, sage, horseradish, catnip, rosemary, coltsfoot.. I dont know what some of these do, but I plan on finding out.... my list went with the comfrey, garlic, horseradish, oregano, ginger, onions and basil.... so I plan on adding to mine. my daughter also bought me arnica and feverfew seeds... Im not sure if I can grow those, but I would love to be able to! sure gonna give it my best try!

Maybe that is why S510 passed. You might be able to grow herbs, but you will not be able to give them away.

Big pharma will control all drugs as well as all herbs, just like Monsanto controls the seeds.

This is in Europe now, but will be in North America soon. Then if you want to buy vitamin C, it will cost three times what it costs now, and you will only be able to buy low dose capsules, 60-200 mg.

Most herbs/supplements will be gone.

I may not be able to give them away, but I cant stop people from coming into my yard and taking them when needed....especially if we grew a community garden type thing!

But if you grow roses, you will have rosehips, and you can grow oranges and lemons and grapefruit.... while I know S510 is suppose to stop all that, but with that amendment on there, the little backyard gardener is safe for awhile longer!

For those of you who are christians: The Bible is pretty explicit about a one world economy in the end days. Monsanto: Controls the seeds for ther world for the most part and is gaining strength. The banks are all interconnected, there are suppose to be famines in the future and with the gaining world population, it will obviously happen.

I believe that they are working to do something about that also. Like to plant your own garden you would first need to get the appropriate government permit, which will just happen to be prohibitively expensive. Thus forcing you to buy only the latest government approved GMO foods. Many of these laws are already on the books just waiting for a �suitable� crisis so they can be implemented.

and we always thought we were free!?!?!?! I was reading this morning about the laws that some of the western states have about collecting rain water. While yes, I understand that those laws were put into place in order to stop large corporations from producing massive rain water collection sites, I also understand that that law and those like it will be used against anyone who goes against the plan...the author wrote something about waiting until the government starts taxing us for air, and while yes he was hopefully joking, he did point out, that our land that we bought and paid for, can be taken away if we dont pay our taxes...and something about scientist say that our bodies arent our own

Now I will say, that after reading some of the comments, I can understand why they have put the water collections laws in place, but all it takes is one screwed up leader, and where does that take us??? After reading your post madsci....there aint no telling where they will go next!
