Thumbs down I can NOT fathom the cost of Drugs!

My Podiatrist FINALLY received the final Report from my Toenail Clipping Analysis..other than Curvularia Species and a light growth of Trichophyton, there were no other Fungus detected. He is Prescribing Sporanox, and I am to take 1 Daily 7 Day's every Month for 3 Month's..he wants to see me again 5 Months from the Day I begin taking..I called my Pharmacy to inquire the cost and to ask if the Drug is on their Formulary. They couldn't give me a cost, because his Office didn't call in the Scrip, but it isn't listed on their Formulary.I call my Drug coverage to inquire the cost,it isn't on their Formulary either, but an estimated cost is around $406.75!!!!!!!!!They gave me a prior authorization number to give my Podiatrist to call for a Formulary/special exception, and if approved,I will pay $6..Tomorrow is Friday, and Podiatrists Office closes at Noon..

You might try alternating neem oil one day and tea tree oil the next day for a couple months and start taking probiotics.

Saved,
I found out this Morning the Brand Sporanox costs an estimated $406.75.The Generic Itraconazole $2.40.I probably can't take either the Brand or Generic, because of the 1 Prescription Medication I routinely take.I will give the Neem and Tea Tree Oil a try.

Thank you!
