Very Low Heart Rate....
I am a 32 year old man, about 5'6", 175 lbs. I work out and run(jog) about 3 to 4 times a week. I consider myself in average shape. I went to the hospital about 4 weeks ago due to a heaviness in my chest, while I was in the ER the ER Doctor noticed bu pulse was in the lower 40's. They wanted to keep me there for observation over night. Well 6 days later they saw my heart rate fall into the lower 30's while I slept (31 was the actual lowest) they have run EKG, Chest xrays, Echo cradiogram, Stress test, Neck and brain MRI and have found nothing wrong with me. Now my cardio doctor wants me to have a cardiac catheterization procedure done. I do suffer from dizziness and lightheadedness at all different times of the day, but I am starting to think it's not my heart and I might have something else wrong... I just don't know what else to do.

low heart rate
I don't know if you should get a cardiac cath without a second opinion. what are they saying that they are looking for? Do you have an arrythmia too, or is it just bradycardia? A cardiac cath is not a thing to do lightly. I would have to see at least one other cardiologist from a recognized heart center first. Then maybe you do have to have one, but I'd see first.

The main approach of preventing heart disease is to improve energy metabolism within the heart and to promote blood circulation. Common cardiovascular problems recovery and prevention are addressed with known antioxidants.
Garlic has been proven to lower atherosclerosis and it also helps to lower cholesterol level and excessive platelet adhesion. Magnesium may regulate heart rhythm and reduce blood clots. CoQ10 is an antioxidant that has been shown to support heart health and lower blood pressure. The Vitamin B Complex 50 promotes energy metabolism. Cayenne increases blood circulation. N-Acetyl L-Cysteine, L-Glutathione Reduced, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Selenium work together in absorbing free radicals from the system. American Ginseng and Hawthorn are also beneficial for the heart system. If you are concerned or unsure about your symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for professional medical advice. |
