Mind reading study
https://edition.cnn.com:80/2008/US/08....ap/index.html
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Here's a mind-bending idea: The U.S. military is paying scientists to study ways to read people's thoughts. Scientists use electroencephalography, or brain wave-reading technology, to measure brain activity. The hope is that the research could someday lead to a gadget capable of translating the thoughts of soldiers who suffered brain injuries in combat or even stroke patients in hospitals. But the research also raises concerns that such mind-reading technology could be used to interrogate the enemy. Armed with a $4 million grant from the Army, scientists are studying brain signals to try to decipher what a person is thinking and to whom the person wants to direct the message. |

Jim,
I've come to believe that Remote Viewing is nothing more than a failed investment (by our government) and a cash-cow for guests of the Coast-to-Coast program. For instance, Ed Dames, one of the supposed superstars of RV, is incorrect almost every time he makes a prediction. And, when he's not, I believe he simply makes educated guesses based on projections using currently available information. Technology may make "mind reading" possible, in one form or another, but parapsychology has failed to make in-roads in this field - as far as I can tell.

I think the US gov agrees with you. Me too. I'm not too impressed with any of the pseudosciences.
