While they may work for some people, personally I feel that traditional antidepressants are like brute force medicine. The sledge hammer approach. To me it seems that researchers don't know a lot about the brain, but have decided that because they have this one effect of blocking reuptake of serotonin (which is I believe what they do?), that they're happy to hand it out to some crazy percentage of the developed world's population. The brain is so infinitely complex, god only knows what else is being done to it by the antidepressants.

Also there is the warnings to consider... "Watch for Suicidal thoughts and behavior"
I don't know about you but I don't think an antidepressant should have suicidal thoughts and behavior as a side-affect.
