Dental Thoughts- maybe MMS?
about a month ago i used mms for my gums and teeth. at the same time i started drinking mms, taking a bath with mms and using it as a body rub- all protocols of jim humble is what i followed.
using a toothpick in the morning to evaluate, i noticed my plaque in my gums disappeared where as in the past the plaque was clearly visable. somehow during this time i noticed my upper front teeth gums (above the gum line) became very discolored. there was no stains below the gum line. i decided it was either due to drinking pomegranate juice, blueberry smoothie or the mms - most likely mms. today, i decided to try mms using half the mouthwash protocol. 5 drops mms, 25 drops citirus acic and 2.5 tablespoons of water. i brushed my front teeth for about 10 minutes. of the 6 stained teeth, 2 became clean, 1 much cleaner and the remaining 3 seemed to be less stained. the enamel of the teeth seemed fine. i stopped because i was afraid something bad could occur if i continued. however, i am thinking to do this again. any thoughts anyone? thanks |

Could you take a decent resolution image of your teeth to show this?
I am curious. |

Cityman,
We had a poster here who experimented quite a bit using mms on his teeth. It did reduce the bacterial counts and he had tests done. It did reduce plaque, but after a time he found that it was not good for the enamel if I recall correctly. Iggy? where are you? For overall dental health I recommend herbal products, or xylitol. We have a thread on it somewhere. Arrow

I havent ventured into using MMS so I cant offer any comments on it but for the past year or so Ive been using a toothpowder (Eco-Dent) with colloidal silver, juice of Wild Oregano Oil or straight oil of oregano to wet my brush.
I then do a good rinse with warm sea salt water. I can tell you it has made a very big difference as my gums are in a healthy state and my teeth are glissing clean. When finished I store my toothbrush inside a bottle of Wild Oregano Oil. I also should add that I do occasional oil pulling with long rinses of colloidal silver afterwards. I have big issues with a suggested root canal that have all subsided by the above - you can read my "root canal" post in the Dental section.

after doing the mms mouthwash...i kept thinking the enamel could be damaged by this protocol. thanks for the feedback.
i just completed a little more research. pls check out this link- this link shows mms is okay to use per jim humble: https://ideasfordifficulttimes.com/20...-teeth-enamel/ == i was also wondering if i used dmso with the mouthwash and what would happen. I would think that MMS would be a bit too acidic for continued use on your teeth. So may be its ok for short term only? |

i would agree with you arrow. it might be good for the short term.
i did read somewhere- one person did not use the citrus for activation and it worked anyway. have to ponder on this |

dental thoughts- conclusion
because i was cautious about ruining the enamel i tried different tactics.
i was always reducing the volume used proportionally as to restrict the amount of time brushing/cleaning the stains. I would do this every other day. I also varied the technique- from brushing cautiously to vigorously to using q-tips. each method of brushing helped and i do wish i did have a camera to show and compare. before i left for the dentist today for cleaning i looked at my teeth and saw much/all of the stains were gone or less discolored. i was quite undecisive whether to cancel or honor the appointment. i decided to honor the appointment and pay for the cleaning. upon approaching the dentist office- outside the office, i bumped into the hygienist and asked for his opinion. he looked carefully and said- my teeth are clean. i do not need a cleaning. he said this 2-3 times. but i decided to go anyway and honor my appointment. after the cleaning of only the front top 6 teeth, i could see there was a difference. the hygienist said- it was good i had the cleaning. he could see the difference. my personal conclusion- mms does reduce/remove the stains for sure and maybe over time it will be as effective the professional teeth cleaning. what was a extraordinary nice gesture- upon leaving the dentist and hygienist said - i did not have to pay. --- now to figure out what caused the stains in the first place- it was either drinking pomegranate juice or blueberries/blueberry smoothies. anyone have an opinion? (laughing) |
