I'm sorry, but whenever I hear people raving about these "grass" powders.. I can't help but think of the green stuff flying out of the lawnmowers in the spring...
yum!!!
actually tomato juice might be good with this. tomatoes seem to mix well with green anything (basil, parsley, etc.)
Actually, I've never tried wheat nor barley grass, separately. Closest thing was Dr Schultz's super food powder, which I mixed with tomato juice and Tabasco.
What I am currently using is Barley Life--a MLM product. I have also used Barley Max from Hacres.com. When I first started using it, I was taking the maximum dosage of aspirin (this was in 1991) for arthritis in my hands. Within two days of starting, the pain was 75% better and was completely gone in 10 days. The deformity to my knuckles has not improved, but I have remained pain-free unless I miss taking my daily drink of Barley.
I take a lot of supplements, but this is the last one I would be willing to give up. As for the taste, you can learn to like anything if you hurt enough.
I use this product that you might want to try sometime. It has Barley grass in it but it tastes pretty good too. I used it during a 21 day detox last summer and it seemed pretty good. I had lots of energy. Usually I mix it with Bolthouse Berry Juice. They have the Berry Greens that tastes the best and then the Greens 8000.
