Hi healthmattersalot, I wouldn't throw out all my vitamins, or cancel incoming orders for these additives. I think it's good if you can find them with no harmful additives. My B-50 complex I just bought has magnesium stearate in it. For my personal convenience, I've accepted the good with the bad of my vitamins, I think for myself the benefits outweigh the risks.

Here's a place I came across online that may have a B-100 complex that interests you, I've never bought from them before myself. https://www.nutrabio.com/Products/vitamin_b100.htm

kind2creatures - thx so much for your link....everywhere i look had those excipients in urgh...i guess its a mental thing, but once i know something is bad for me,theres no way i'm taking it...heartache over money loss..but i reason that its better than medical bills years down the line (i liken conventional medicine to a shoddy garage, if i ever have to leave my car in the garage i would fear for what they will do to it, same with going to hospital)...my accupunturist mentioned that i had a sluggish gut etc...and i've even had really bad windy city down south, bloaty feeling that even taking priobiotics is not solving..yes even my priobiotics had mag ster in it..and since i normally avoid junk food & eat quite healthly, i could not understand it... now i'm thinking years of taking those excipients lining my gut etc....

Maintaining good flora is the very best thing you can do for yourself healthmattersalot. They are essential in the digestive process as well as fending off bad pathogens. They produce acids that will kill the pathogens.

I've read that the mag stearate is used as filler or diluent in the capsules. It does have lubricating properties and could line the gut. However, not much is used that would do such harm. Never the less if you are like me, you take generally take a lot of caps. I've been trying to buy powders where available.

If you are not allergic to bee pollen, that is a great source of B vitamins. Also, you are wasting your money, if you buy a complex greater than 50. You'll see the waste when you have bright yellow pee.

For bloating, please research digestive bitters. Check it out at your favorite supplement vendor. Used for over 100 years. Be sure to get some that don't have laxative stimulating herbs; so that means not Swedish Bitters. That will only make your colon more lazy than it already is. Bitters will do a lot for you; including the support of the liver. The reason you are bloating, is because the food is just fermenting instead of digesting. The bitters and the probiotics should help this. You only need to use half of whatever the bitters label says to take. The back of the tongue just needs to taste the bitter. The body will do the rest.

I use NutriBiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract, thanks to the recommendations of the folks on this forum. The capsules do have magnesium stearate as a vegetable lubricant. I also use the liquid concentrate which is unfiltered, organically grown and mag stearate free.

I bought mine from my local vitamin store, but you can go to their site and purchase if you're interested.

Not sure about the other supplements, but it seems that a liquid or powder form would eliminate the capsule, and be more additive free.

I vote for powders. Cheaper. Longer lasting between purchases; since you won't have capsules full of fillers. Also you won't have to take so much for the same reason.

I normally get powdered herbs; or powder them myself. Vitamins are more difficult do this way. Although I do try to get a few natural vitamins/minerals from herbs.

I usually put the powdered portions in about 2 or 3 swallows of water, stir, drink. Then drink some water to wash down. Sometimes I put a half teaspoon under my tongue (so I don't breathe it into my lungs), sip water, swish, swallow. Works well. Is easy.

Thx Jim, helpful as always.

Guess what guys & dolls....i don't know whether i'm over re-acting but given all my 'gut' troubles & excipient intakes... i've decided to take an expanded G.I. panel test ....bloomin expensive....but TMI the stuff&smell coming out can't be good indicators...the last 3yrs being like this...can't ignore it any longer.....

Once i know whats wrong then i can treat it better....rather than waste more money throwing everything at it (current approach)...peace of mind i guess

i pity the lab technician/tester....

Seagate manufactures products, including grape seed extract, that contain no Mag. Stearate or other garbage. The're a bit expensive but the quality is fantastic. Worth taking a look at.
