Not a chemist here; but I prefer natural for all the other things an herb can do for you. No extracts. No tinctures either. I relate this to kelp. It is magnificent in its assistance to the whole endocrine system. It contains mercury; but also contains iodine to keep that in check. It contains several other not-so-good things too. Plants know how to defend themselves; so they keep things in balance. Unlike many drug manufacturers, even supplement makers, who extract whatever they think they want from a plant and then find ways to make the body use it. Study how the blood cells react with saponins, which are found in many plants. In the whole herbs, like yucca, saponins are bound up and become unavailable to the body.

I'm not trying to be a naturalist. I just try to be aware of why it is best to be as natural as possible within my likes and dislikes. For example, I love pizza. ...and hamburger. ...and ...

When the drug companies hit on a natural product, they have to purify, because they cannot patent an extract. The problem happens because in the extracts there are co factors that work with the drug. The pure drug has a far less effect than the crude extract.

Thanks saved. See? Many benefits; not just VitC.

I like it in powder form; because there is more surface area and no fillers. I get it here inexpensively. https://www.vedaliving.com/product_in...roducts_id=175

Is it possible to find vitamins/supplements that do not contain any unusual additives like magnesium stereate?

Also, does anyone know if mag stereate from a vegetable source is better then regular mag stereate?

Is it true that mag stereate damages your immune system?

I use a lot of different supplements. None of the powdered forms or softgels contain any Magnesium Stearate. I have one in tablet form that also doesn't have any in it.

Nearly all of my vitamins/supplements that are in capsule form contain Magnesium Stearate.

I've read that it may supress the immune system, but I think that's only in very large doses, not what you'd get taking a handful of vitamins daily.

Vitamin supplement is good for our body, but be careful try not to take cheap supplement. Because like 'pinballdoctor' say cheap one will contain to much chemical.
Descent one will be more on Quality NOT Quantity, and what does it make of...........
I reckon made by green plant is the best just like my the one that i am having it made by sea plant, feel really good with it.
Another very important thing is------Water, you have to drink plenty of water everyday, our daily water need is 8 glasses, especially if you take capsule or pill it will need more water to keep it melt into your body.

to avoid feeling that I may be overdosing on herbs and supplements, I use a very high quality brand that I can trust, and take the stated dose. That way I also know that I am not wasting my money. I have been taking these products for over 9 years and I feel healthier than ever. Last night I was not told I look 10 years younger than my age. Something's working...
