Yes they are. I have a social worker who checks in on me every few months or so and when she asks me about my insurance and I tell her Medicare and carry NO supplement, which costs people about $200-300/mo.,...I point to my table area where I have a number of supplements and say to her "this is my insurance". She keeps telling me the supplements keep me from "looking" my age which is 82 this year. I have been taking supplements for going on 30 yrs.
