As a therapy, you would want to take it on an empty stomach to avoid vitamin c and selenium being taken (in food) at the same time. While using iodine as therapy, you should supplement with selenium, vitamin C, and magnesium, but not at the same time as iodine.

Thanks jfh!
I have started to use iodine and am feeling it work on a nasty infection I have been fighting for a long time, the only other thing that seems to fight this is mms and I can't get past about the 6-7 drop area, and the iodine is easy on my stomach and is something we need anyway so I have ramped up to about 15 drops of 2% iodine 2x daily and have read that you need to supplement with selenium while taking iodine at high doses, but didn't advise how much selenium to take, can you add to this?
