Default Vitamin C - Which Form to Take?

I'm starting to have my doubts about ascorbic acid. Is it made from gmo corn? If so, how healthy could it really be?

What form vitamin C do you take? Please don't name the product, instead name what form vitamin C is in your product...example...ascorbic acid.

I was reading about this:
https://www.newchapter.com/products/c-food-complex

You think this would be alot better for you than taking ascorbic acid? Or should I just save my money and buy ascorbic acid?

It doesn't actually say on their website, what form the vitamin C is in...it just lists it as vitamin C 250 mg.

Papaya, watercress, kiwis, and berries. For supplement, I take the vitamin c made for acerola cherries. Rose hips are good too. Wal-Mart has the vitamin c from acerola for fairly inexpensive.

I was just looking at Walmart online. I can't find the product anymore. However, one of my favorite online vendors has it for very reasonable. https://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW1063/ItemDetail

Now brand has it in a powder too. So check you health food store or online.

/That's my thinking too. BUT I want to take 4,000 of C daily and want some for my toddler. It baffles me that a little pill would have potent ascorbic acid when it's so sensitive to heat, light and air. Does anyone know how to get some non-gmo source of C that doesn't have very much carbs? I'm using acerola cherry right now. I'm making pine needle tea that is suppose to be high in vit. C but how much who knows and how much is destroyed by the heat? Some of these questions are rhetorical unless you have a thought on them. I'm thinking of pulverizing a bunch of green pepper and cabbage to make a drink.

I have all different forms. The one I use the most is with bioflavanoids. You can always do Rose Hips instead it is high in Vit C.

Read this info on amla. It is a very high source of vitamin c and has many other benefits. I think you will be surprised at those benefits. https://www.raysahelian.com/amla.html

Most Ayurveda sites will be a source for amla. https://www.ayurvediccure.com/amla.htm

Amla berry is the highest source of vitamin C, followed by camu camu then acerola cherry.

Ester-C is non GMO so it would be a safe brand to use. Ester C is also buffered so it is gentle on the stomach. You can also buy it at walmart cheaply.

The best form of natural vitamin C that I have found is camu camu. It has the highest amount of natural c than any other fruit.

It takes 66 pounds of fresh camu camu berries to make 1 pound of powder. In other words, taking 2- 500mg capsules of this powder is the same as eating 66 grams of the berry.
