Default Is this combination of vitamins safe/advisable?

Hello,

Im considering starting to take the following vitamin and minerals combination:

Green tea tablets
glucosamine
Choline Bitartrate
Ginkgo Biloba Extract
vitamin b5 powder
a standard multivitamin
possibly saw palmetto extract

i have recently discovered that it appears my hairline is receeding above my temples, and i want to try and halt this process as much as i can with natural substances.

They arent just for the hair problem, green tea is obviously beneficial for a number of reasons, glucosamine is widely used for weight training etc. My reasoning for potentially taking b5 is that most multivitamins doesnt contain it at all, and its meant to be good for hair loss.

Is the above comination safe/advisable to take together?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

B5 will be listed as pantothenic acid. It is never advisable to take one B vitamin by itself. They should be taken together in the normal complex. This is because they/you will become imbalanced. Best natural source for b5 is bee pollen.

Take the green tea separate from any herb, including saw palmetto and ginkgo. About an hour will do. The tannin will make most herbs impotent.

The choline B is good for the brain. I'm not familiar with its function for skin or hair.

Try to get saw palmetto that includes beta sitosterol. It is a plant sterol and will help with the saw palmetto.

Do not take DHEA. I don't see it in your list, so just a warning. It has a tendency to make you lose hair.

I can't tell if you are a guy, so I'll just say that you should make sure your multi does not contain iron. Men can't dispose of iron as easily as women. Of course you can donate blood periodically. Or take a good chelator, like IP6.

My favorite multi it is https://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Adam-...blets/380?at=0 It has everything you really need, including the B5 and saw palmetto and ginkgo nd choline B.

Yes. Take the extra B5. Just be sure to include a B complex. I assume you will get that in a multi. iHerb seems to be a good supplement house. One of our UK forum members uses them (Ted) successfully. Never the less, I'm not trying to persuade you toward any specific vendor. Just find a multi that contains most of the ingredients which you had in your original post.

BTW, if you take more that 50mg of any B per day, you will flush it out of your system. This will be indicated in your bright yellow urine. It is waste.

I do the same as you. I take extra follic acid beyond my multi. I take other extra things as well, since some things don't go together in a multi at all, such as iodine with vitamin C.

Get a shampoo called Nizoral! It has an antifungal drug in it called ketoconazole. Wash your hair with it 2-3 times a week and let it sit on your scalp for 5 minutes each time. It blocks DHT!
