Too many herbs???
Ok, I need help again... The darlin grandson (18 months) has been having some issues.... He had chicken pox about two weeks ago, and is healing up nicely... But, it looks like he is either coming up with more pox(es) or possibly getting bite by something at night. His eczema has flared up badly, because mom ran out of yogurt and forgot to buy more.. So while sleeping, it seems like he is waking up constantly, we are assuming, because he is itching.. So, this is what I did~~~~ We bought yogurt, and got two servings of yogurt down him yesterday.... Bought more coconut oil, and oiled him up yesterday morning. Then before he went to bed last night, I gave him a warm bath with epsom salts, and a few drops of lavender oil in the bath... Hoping to relax and sooth him... Then I mixed a few drops of orange oil into the coconut oil and oiled him up again (ants dont like orange oil, so figured if he had any types of ants in bed, the orange oil would get rid of them) Then, I know that fleas dont like eucalyptus oil, so I set up the vaporizer and put a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the vaporizer.. (we tested for fleas, and didnt see any tho) Then as an added precaution, I took my two basil plants and put them in his room, because I know mosquitoes dont like basil.... He slept like a log... Didnt hear him moving around until early this morning, but he slept until after 10... His eczema seems to be doing alot better, and it doesnt look like we have anymore break outs or bites or whatever they are....We will repeat the process again tonite, if its safe!!! Is it possible to go overboard... Did I use too many different herbs? Can I use orange oil on a baby? We see no bugs in his bed... We see no mosquitoes, we dont even see any flies in his room.... I dont think its spiders, but believe at this point, anything is possible.... Could I add lemon oil to the orange oil in the coconut oil as a spider preventive (spiders dont like lemon oil~~ if you have a spider problem, spray lemon pledge around all your door and window openings, inside and out) Could he actually have another outbreak of chicken pox??? Lots of questions, and Im sorry this post is long, but I need to know if I am over dosing him!

I don't think you used too much but if it worked why add more?
I heard recently that people who have had the chicken pox vaccine are getting repeated bouts of the pox. He hasn't been vaccinated has he?
The stories I heard were so terrible that it should scare anyone away from the vaccine...but I haven't had time to look into it.
Most likely his eczema is from something he eats...

Thanks Arrow... my game plan seems to be working, and as long as we remember to give him the yogurt, his ezcema stays in tact... We have backed off the amount of sweets we have been giving him and have notice quite a difference, Is ezcema a fungus??? We let him munch on crackers, and use the fiberone cereal as a snack, it isnt the best solution, but its better then the capt crunch she was giving him... He has a problem with textures... he will eat pureed peas galore, but hates the peels on regular peas, so he spits them out... its hard to understand this texture thing... if he doesnt like the feel on his hands or tongue, he will not eat it...He has not had the chicken pox vaccine, and now that he has had a really strong case of the chicken pox, he wont have to have the vaccine at all!!! YEA!!!! I have two granddaughters that did have the vaccine, and they have since gotten chicken pox at least three times each... they keep getting a really mild case of it, so their bodies cant build up an immunity to it... so we assume they will probably keep getting chicken pox for ever... That vaccine did us no good, it caused us more problems then it helped!!!
Again, thanks for the help!

Boy, thats too bad about the girls. I wonder how long it will go on for. Lets hope not forever. I wonder what would happen if you exposed them to real chicken pox.
Ezcema isn't a fungus. It is an allergic reaction. Is this child autistic or ADHD or something? Perhaps to young to tell at this point on the more subtle disorders. The texture thing tells me there is some deeper problem, I suspect, at least it is a behavior that I have seen in kids with various sorts of disorder. Autistic or anything along the spectrum can have bowel issues... and his positive reaction to yogurt tells me that there is a bowel issue. Did he have the MMR vaccine? Deep allergy can also LOOK like a spectrum disorder, and it very well may be a spectrum disorder, but the cause is allergy. Question is what caused the allergy...and I don't mean soy or milk or what ever, I mean what caused the allergy to the food substance in the first place.

Do you supplement with VIt D? Omega 3 oil? I think ezcema could be due in part to low Vit D. I used to get it gradually every winter and it would go away in summer when I was outside in sun. Also the sun is good for babies. Sounds like you are in a hot climate.

Im sorry I dont know how I missed your response to this arrow! He is up to date on all his shots... Mother is afraid that because he has all these medical problems, that cps would be called in if she didnt give him the shots. I can understand her fears, I had a doctor tell me once, that it is considered abuse not to give my dad in law one of the meds the doc wanted him to have! So yeah, Im assuming he has had the mmr already. Tar syndrome babies usually have mental problems from my understanding, but was told its because of the bleeding into the brain during regular birthing...Grandson was born c-section, so we thought we had missed that... He seems really slow in some areas, but that seems to be because he has the radius bones missing in both arms... he had to learn how to sit up and roll over and all those normal baby things differently then a normal baby.... But he seems smarter in some areas...his memory seems to be really good, but other signs of autism, we havent seen yet.... I was giving rice bran oil, but slacked off on it... will start that back up again, and thought about fish oil or cod liver oil....DBergy, vit D is a good idea, but my question with all of these supplements, is how much do I give an 18 month old..not sure how much he weighs, but I would say in the twenty-thirty pound range.. he isnt fat, but we have good size babies! We live twenty minutes from the gulf, south of houston texas, so yes, we have a hot climate! Normally we never see snow, but we did see snow again this winter... all this talk about global warming, and houston has had record snow twice in the last ten years!!!
