IODINE FOR RADIATION PROTECTION

Would someone please inform me of how much iodine to take before receiving a complete body PET/CAT Scan to prevent thryroid damage?

I would take 10 drops ina glass of water 3 x day starting about 3 days before exposure.
Dont do it if you are allergic to iodine.

There is no written protocol for this, I am just making a wild guess. The dosage is safe. You must use lugol's iodine for best results. Potassium iodide as in Lugols is what the military uses.
