I've got so many skeptics telling me that its all a lot of hogwash.

Would any of you be able to link me to a reliable journal article or study that proves that naturopathy, acupuncture etc.. actually works?

As for sxcientific and med journals: you are out of luck; the system is controlled. Unfortunately it is you had a positive experience or know people that do.

the best journal is the Townsend Letter, which is about the equilivant to Journal of Amercian Medicine, but for Naturopaths and alternative thinking medical doctors. Do a search and you will find it.

Pubmed also has an abundance of double blind studies on alternative protocols and products.

briar_rose, the only trouble is with heavy based scientific people is that they only have a one track mind and can only see what they have been taught,if only they could expand their minds a bit to see that there are natural cures out there that have been around for centuries,the world would be a better place.

There was a study several years ago using a fMRI and acupuncture at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey that had surprising results.

Let us not forget that most Dr's of medicine and those doing research got into the club in the first place for the money,fame and notoriety. Proposing to them anything else than mainstream medicine will just insult their intelligence. Until one of them is sick, has tried all their stuff, fails to get better then tries some of the alternate therapies and success results then maybe just maybe a tiny little light will shine somewhere in their brain.
