I just ordered some stuff from iherb. My mom has osteoporosis, so I ordered some horsetail tea (is this good?) and some ionic fizz magnesium packets. Tastes like shit, but it is a great Mg supplement. A buddy of mine was totally stressed out, could not sleep, so I mailed an ionic fizz Mg packet. He said he slept 9 hrs straight after drinking it and felt much better the next day.

If you are going to use horsetail I recommend that you read the whole article. I will not go through it again. You need a very specific product and it is all explained already.

Thanks Arrow, for posting this article. It helps me to know that
going to the trouble of grinding my flax seed daily is worth it. I
can't handle the Flaxseed Oil - toooooo oily for me. Also, I'm
wondering if the silica in the D-Earth I'm using almost daily, is
part of the reason too, plus 4000 of Vit D3 daily, that my bone
density results were so good.

Hi arrowwind09. you mentioned that the aqueous extraction process involved in vegetal silica and alta silica neutralizes the alkaloids in horsetail. I ordered both silica complex 500 mg from Iherb (manufactured by Now Foods) and Vegetal Silica from the same website (the same silica you are using i believe) and i was wondering if the silica from Now foods may have a chance of containing alkaloids and if I should just stick to the Vegetal silica just to be safe.

Oh and is the aqueous process meant to neutalize the alkaloids or just provide a non chemical method of extraction?

I would try to contact NOW foods and find out if they have done any extraction method to deal with the alkaloids. I just don't know about that product.

And I can't answer wether the alkaloids or neutralized or extracted.

Thanks arrowwind09. I have never smoked before nor had any nicotine substances in my body before so I guess you can say I'm a bit paranoid about alkaloids.

Cool

Anyone considering an order from IHerb should note their NOW brand
vit D3 5000IU for $8.80 for 120 softgel capsules, if you want/need
Vit D3. Plus, I think they give a discount for any orders over $60.00
and even higher discounts for larger amounts spent.

I would not recommend taking baking soda on a regular basis to change the internal ph. It will disrupt digestive function and when that happens you will loose lots of nutrients.

The best way to get your self more alkaline is to eat lots of veggies, drink green drinks, cut back on processed foods and especially soda pop. One can of soda can make you acidic for days.
