Today, [always the 1st Saturday in May] is Derby Day! It's been raining all
morning, here and in Louisville too - Churchill Downs.

That means a sloppy
track, especially if it continues raining all day as it's supposed to.

There's even a possibility of heavy storms throughout the day.

Not good
for the horses running nor their jockeys as mud flies into their faces.

And not too many horses are "good mudders."
Anyone wanting to watch the Ky. Derby, it will be on NBC at 6:20 pm EDT,
with preliminary doings at the track probably starting by 5:30, possibly even
by 5 pm. A good time to kick back with a smoothie or highball [my preference].
