\n It has been a few years now since 911 so what have we learned since then?
\n We are told a plane(s) was flown into a building and the burning jet fuel melded the steel support columns causing the building to collapse. A nice simple explanation provided you don�t start asking questions.

\n For one jet fuel is basically kerosene, a low grade fuel, which under ideal conditions burns at about 1800 degrees, yet to melt steel we need around 2800 degrees, where did this extra heat come from?
\n
\n Or what is the likelihood that all the support columns were uniformly heated so that they all failed at the same time allowing the top of the building to fall straight down?
\n
\n How come the undamaged lower floors offered little resistance to the collapsing buildings?
\n
\n What a stroke of luck for the investigators to be able to identify the terrorists by finding in the debris one their passports that magically survived all that fire and destruction.
\n
\n We were told they were Saudi�s nationals, so why did we invade Iraqi?
\n
\n What are the odds of transponders in four different planes be turned off almost simultaneously, very close to Washington, and yet no fighters were scrambled to investigate?

\n Experienced airline pilots have stated that they would have difficulty performing some of the complex maneuvers of the hijacked jets. So how was it that terrorists who could barely fly a Cessna were up to the task?

\n How come a number of first responders swear seeing and hearing multiple ground level explosions in both towers before their collapse and why are they being excluded from the memorial ceremony?

\n How come many reputed architects and engineers are adamant that the �official story�, of burning jet fuel, simply does not explain the collapse of the TwinTowers as well as the collapse of building 7, which was not even hit by a jet?

\n Over at the Pentagon prior to 911 Rumsfeld had a news conference where he mentioned that they had a small accounting problem in that they had lost track of a few trillion dollars. Guess what part of the pentagon that those records just happened to be keep in along with all the people that knew what they contained.

\nThe fuel burning below the melting point of the steel is a bad argument. Steel (Iron) has a phase change way below its melting point which would severly weaken the steel. Also, at that temperature there is something called grain growth which weakens the steel also.

\n Also by evidence of all the black smoke this was an oxygen starved fire, thus it was not burning as hot as it could have. That plus the relatively short time from when the plane hit the building to the time when it collapsed are what make this story hard to believe.

\nI remember the guy who designed the twin towers stating there is no way the building would collapse, and was designed to take a hit from a plane... Of course no mention of an airliner, but the point is the fire was not hot enough to damage the steel beams.

\nWe\'ve all seen the videos of the plane hitting the south tower, and the huge fire ball that followed, however, that was the jet fuel. In other words, the fuel burned up on impact.

\nThe thing that bothers me the most was the plane hitting the pentagon. Now you can\'t even go to the mall without being seen by several cameras, and yet the pentagon shows a grainy crappy video of some shadows then a big explosion... They say they have other video but won\'t release it to the public because it would be difficult for the families to watch. I call bullshit on that. The families want to know what happened that day.

\n This was supposedly a large twin engine aircraft coming in at ground level with a wing span greater then the distance between some of the lamp poles in it path, yet it managed not to hit them.

\n One would expect that the two large and heavy engines would have punched two holes into the building. I have seen a picture of a mechanic who was standing on a stepladder working inside the air intake on a similar engine, yet they apparently just bounced off. Such is the appearance after buildings that have been professionally demolished. Where demolition materials have been placed, molten metals are found, as found in the wreckage of the WTC.

\nWood and Reynolds have frequently been critical of Steven Jones’ research
\ninto the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings on 9/11. Their
\n“thermite hypothesis” paper is a series of objections against the possible use
\nof thermite in the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings. Many of
\nthese objections are answered elsewhere by Frank Legge.3
\nHowever, there are other problems with their paper. In particular, it is
\ndemonstrable that Wood and Reynolds distort the actual position of Steven
\nJones throughout their essay. This tactic is known as a straw-man fallacy:
\n“The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a
\nperson\'s actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or
\nmisrepresented version of that position.”4

\nSteven Jones’ paper on the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers.
