Default The Purpose of College for...

those fascinated with natural health and living.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but I am not able to find a degree that addresses this way of life. Perhaps nutrition would make sense, but my views of health fall outside of the mainstream. Is there much of a point in remaining here?

Nutrition would be good but there are also Naturopathic medical schools (washington state has one called Bastyr but there are a few more). These are real medical schools where the first yr is the same curriculum as a regular medical education. What differs is the views on treatment.

Yes, and there are also schools to certify people in homeoapthy. Look to Arizona for that. They have a 3 year school there. Only a very few states recognize homeopathy as an independent dicipline... Arizona being one of them. In some states you can practice without legal issues, such as Idaho and Californaia, and maybe Minnesota... generally states with Healthcare Freedom Bills in effect

There are also schools of Acupuncture which you become an OMD... oriental medical doctor... which is more than just learning acupuncture, but encompasses the whole oriental application on herbalism. Again you need to find out what states recognize this degree. The school should be able to tell you.

and this website is a great search tool for schools. Make sure that you will be able to practice legally in whatever dicipline you choose in the state you want to live in.
