Default An interesting new e-newsletter

I have subscribed to the free IMVA e-newsletter for a few years and have been impressed with the content. Now they have started a whole new venture with Natural Allopathic Medicine...emphasis on the word Natural. There is lots of interesting information here, especially about the effects of light. You can sign on for the e-letter if you want.

Thanks very much for that site nightowl. They have a huge amount of information on subjects which have interested me for years.

They have a good article on sodium bicarbonate too.

I did not know this:

Sodium Bicarbonate has successfully proven its antifungal
value in agriculture to resolve fungal issues in vegetation,
including many destructive diseases such as anthracnose, powdery
mildew, black spot in crops and horticultural industries. It has
been successfully used to protect crops from fungus during storage.

Really happy that you like the articles jfh, because I'm always looking for ways to be helpful. I've also found information there that explains magnesium's part in building health in a way that I can understand it. The articles are long but well worth the extra time.

Arrowwind09,

I attempted to download the Sodium Bicarbonate eBook this morning and all went well till I clicked on the link to download, after I had paid for it through PayPal. Internet Explorer didn't like the .exe file and blocked it so the link wouldn't work. My brother in Houston downloaded it, changed the file name and emailed it to me..Internet Explorer blocked it again! So we moved it around, made a new file and gave it another name a couple of times before we finally got it to work!! His computer didn't block it, but mine did. So, you and the others might have better luck. I wrote three emails to the sender and to the author himself and, 4 or 5 hours later, still haven't had a reply. They may be closed if they extended their holiday through the week-end. I haven't had a chance to read the book at all yet. The information in the book will, no doubt, make it all worthwhile!

As of this morning there have been 116 visitors to this thread. Any comments? I thought the information was very good. I've read about four sections of the Sodium Bicarbonate ebook, but lately when I read I get sleepy, so I don't get very far at a time. Has anyone else downloaded it?

This looks like a really interesting site and newsletter. Thanks for the tip!
BTW: You might like a book called "Into The Light" by William Campbell Douglass MD -- all about light therapies. I was particularly interested in the use of UV against infectious agents, but it goes into a lot more.

Thank you Paul. I have been fighting psoriasis on my hands and feet for about two years and finally gave in to using clobetisol cream and lotion, which has made quite a bit of progress the past week, but my doctor wanted me to also have UVB light therapy when I go back and have stitches out (from 3 biopsy specimines) on the 12th. I believe it was UVB...the safer one anyhow. I know I don't get near enough sun and have been building up my vitamin D. I'm going to have a test for vitamin D again tomorrow. I've always been interested in colored light therapy and once got a set of colored plastic disks or squares from Dr. Rowen, but never could figured out how to build a light box to put them in. I would love to read the book by Dr. Douglas and will try to do that soon.

I'm anxious to read and learn how to take sodium bicarbonate, magnesium and Alpha Lipoic Acid in the right portions and the right times as suggested in the book I downloaded, because it is supposed to clear out toxins, give you more energy and I'm hoping it will improve my ability to get oxygen to the cells to help my COPD. I've never had much energy.

Thanks for the come-back.

Hi Nightowl:
A couple of things re your COPD.
1) One way to get oxygen into the cells is using vibration therapy. The top of the line device for this is called the TurboSonic. It's expensive and there are much more reasonable devices. I think PowerPlate might be the market leader.
A friend in the neighborhood has a TurboSonic and rents time on it by the session, so I've come to learn something about it. He told me that the manufacturer is about to bring out an accessory for it which is an oxygen concentrator, the idea being that you would be inhaling a lot of oxygen while you stand or sit on this vibrating platform so the total effect is to get a lot of oxygen into the cells.
This vibration therapy has gained quite a following here in a small town (8,000 people) in California. There are now two places where you can go and use these machines. It might be worth looking in to.
2) I know of a guy (said to be a major brainiac) who claims to have cured himself of COPD (emphysema) using a natural protocol that he put together himself based on a lot of research. I should have it tomorrow, and I'll post it here. Note that I do not know this guy personally, but our mutual friend is impressed by his intelligence and he is able to testify to the fact that he sorted out his COPD.
More soon,
Paul

I'm definately all eyes and ears Paul! I'd love to hear how the man cured his COPD. I've never given up hope that a way exists to stop the destructive process and to grow healthy new lung tissue. Gasses get trapped in cells that have lost their elasticity but I feel there must be some way for the body to get rid of it, if given the right nourishment. You see pictures of these cells in the doctor's offices where the cells swell up like balloons and crowd the chest...if they are of no use, why not pop them and release the gas to give more room for air and for new cells to grow? Maybe that's not possible because it's too simple to understand. I have a friend who is somewhat of a genius but has no common sense.

The TurboSonic probably has a similar effect as EWOT or exercise with oxygen treatment. Any kind of movement and exercise helps get oxygen into the cell. I already have an oxygen concentrator. I'll do a search on that tomorrow when I have more time. Maybe someone in this area has one. Thanks for all your help!

Hey, nightowl, I wonder if UVB blood therapy would do the trick for you?
I have a link for oxidative practitioners now on Health Salon
Maybe there is one in your area which includes ultraviolet light blood therapy.

Oh, dummy me. You said your doc wants you to have UVB. I think its a great idea. You know it is about as good as ozone therapy. I've posted a video by Dr Rowan here on the topic.
UVB, Ozone, Prolotherapy as Prolozone, Oxidative Therapy, Ozone in Dentistry

Please let us know what your Vitamin D level is when you find out.

I believe my doctor was just talking about having me sit under a lamp...maybe it was a different kind of UV - light. He said it would be hard to treat my feet because it's hard to get them by the light. My hands have cleared up most of the way but are darkened a little where the worst areas were. I will go back to the doctor Monday afternoon.

I had too many places to go yesterday so I put off the Vitamin D test for a couple of days. I'll be sure and let you know when the results come in, but they have to Be faxed to Life Extension, and then mailed to me. It takes almost a week.

Default COPD protocol

Nightowl

It took a while to connect with the person I mentioned in my previous post, but this is what he told me. He used the following protocol to get rid of COPD. However, he said it's important to know what the cause of COPD -- smoking, something else - as this impacts the protocol.

I hope this list gives you some areas to look in to. I'm willing to go back to the guy and ask for more information if you want, but he'll need to know cause, duration, severity type information to be more helpful

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Paul

Sorry I found this post so late tonight. I'm a little sleepy, but will try to reply.

Thank you very much Paul!

I'm sure my COPD was brought on by smoking for over 40 years. I finally quit about ten years ago and by then I was so short of oxygen that I was in intensive care for four days and spent 8 more days in the hospital before they let me go home. I quit smoking then for four months but started up again. I later quit for good. I started experimenting with cigarettes at 12 years old. By the time I was 16 I smoked one pack a day. For several years, and up until I quit, I was up to 3 packs a day of straight, strong non-filtered cigarettes. I was pretty proud when I finally was able to quit, but if I hadn't, I would have died within a year or two. I coughed terribly from the first day that I tried to smoke when I was young. I think I was probably allergic to the smoke then.

It would be interesting to know at what stage this man's COPD was before he started the protocol, and how long it took for him to recover and heal his lungs.

A few questions....In searching the first item on the list, Google could not find it. Should it be Allergy Brion? Is the third item Bromelain? Above the Vit E, is that Zink glucanate? I believe Nutritional yeast is brewer's yeast. I think I have most of these things already but will have to order some too.

Thanks for going to the trouble of getting this information for me, and for other members who may know someone with COPD.

I would be careful of the flush free niacin. This has become controversial stuff. I've stopped using it.
