Why does psychiatry still exist if there's not science to it?

Of course, I'm being naive. :wink: Evolution is taught even if there's absolutely no science to it from the very start.

One of my sons old girlfriends from high school is now in her residency for psychiatry. She's just completed 12 years of school. What a brain! She did 4 years at Cornell, she went to Harvard, Oxford and finished in NYC somewhere. Its hard to imagine thats its not real. She's a PHD and who knows what else. I'd hate to see her college loans.
