My husband thinks there is no way I have high levels of vit. D because I'm not in the sun but maybe I do and that is causing my testosterone levels go high.

First you are using 5000iu capsules not 5000mg,
If you remember to take 4 x 5000iu a week that = approzx 3000iu daily so there is no way your levels could be extravagantly high.
In order to raise your level ABOVE the natural levels humans evolved to function best with you would have to take MORE than human skin naturally makes given full body UVB exposure. So only prolonged consumption of 10,000iu/daily together with sun exposure would be likely to produce toxicity.
There is a wide range of individual responses to vitamin d supplements.
If you click this image you can see typical responses to 3000iu/daily vitamin d3 still leave many people below the 60ng/ml 150nmol/l level that enables human milk to be a complete food for human babies.
While I have a high regard for Stephanie Seneff and Dr Mercola I'm not convinced of the role of Vitamin D sulphate. While I'm sure the conversion of 7-dehydrocholesterol into vitamin d is never as straightforward as it appears in scientific diagrams, and there are benefits from UVB exposure that are in addition to JUST vitamin d3 cholecalciferol, I also doubt that the modern techniques of analysis would totally miss Vitamin D Sulphate and the absence of any mention of the sulphated form in recent vitamin d research is a concern.
