sightly elevated levels of what though? few testing sites actually determine what is making the elevation... it is radioactive iodine that disappates rather quickly or is it plutonium that is here for dam near forever? Next to none checked so we dont really know. Iodine was found in many areas and its relatively easy to check for compared to the others. We should assume that if radioactive iodine was there the other stuff was too, until proven otherwise.

I know. The monitoring of the event was a no-go, Suddenly monitoring systems were found to be faulty or just plain shut down. That in itself is a big, red, flag. If iodine was found which it was then the others are there too. It is so weird to me that there is such a vast difference of opinion on the severity of the situation. I can tell you one thing, this event should make us all a bit more spiritual. It sure has for me.
