Thumbs up Bacteria good for you? I guess so!

I just read a study in the Journal Science about a group of scientists that took mice and removed all the bacteria from their skin. Shortly after they began developing a slew of skin conditions that got progressively worse. When they re-introduced the bacteria, the skin conditions cleared up making it obvious that just like in Pro-Biotics for Digestion, Pre-Biotics for skin care was a great new breakthrough in skin care. Thought i would share as i found it very interesting. Doesn't paint a very good picture for "Anti-Bacterial" soaps.

The same goes for the anti-bacterial mouthwash and toothpaste products.

...Like the Colgate commercial where they use a device to measure the bacteria on the teeth, and how their product kills them... not realizing these bacteria are beneficial and should not be killed off..

I swear, for every step forward, science takes two steps back..
