Question Food Grade 35% Hydrogen Peroxide

Hi after reading about the potential beneficial effects of hydrogen peroxide.
I have decided to buy some 35% Food Grade peroxide.
My question is however, being a smoker for many years I was interested in whitening my teeth with it and not ingesting it.
What would be the correct dosage for me to achieve a nice white smile.
Is it ok to rinse with it at full strength without swallowing or a much lower concentration. A lot of the information on the net relates to the correct dosage for drinking it.

OMG! Never use 35% full strength! Not if you value your life! and your oral mucosa!
This is dangerous stuff and you really need to do more research on its use before you proceed.

Also keep it well labeled and away from children.

I've been rinsing and proxa brushing with the regular 3% peroxide, sometimes full strength and sometimes diluted with water, hope that's ok, never swallow the stuff. Been dipping my toothbrush in baking soda before adding my natural toothpaste for whiteness, looking for results soon.

3% to 6% is generally what is used. There are sites that offer the details on how to dilute and use 35% food grade peroxide.

You can find the 35% food grade peroxide in certain Natural Food stores. They keep it refrigerated at very low temperatures. As Arrow already cautioned you, this 35% full strength H2O2 is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS stuff. While diluting it using a very precise procedure, just a drop a of it fell on my finger, and that immediately turned my finger skin white. These stores also carry a couple of books to handle and dilute the H2O2 to 3% or 6% strength. I would highly recommend buying one of these books and really learn ALL about peroxide, before proceeding with caution.

I have had first hand experience of using diluted 3% food grade drops in a glass of water for ingesting and brushing my teeth with it and/or in combination with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). I think the problem in taking drops of 3% peroxide in water is that it attacks the good and bad bacteria equally (pH = 0 through 14). After learning about the MMS (Sodium Chlorite), I don't see any need of using peroxide, since MMS kills the bad bacteria selectively (pH = 0 through 7), while it does not affect the probiotic good bacteria (pH = 7 though 14). Thus MMS solves the mouth rinsing and ingestion issues simultaneously, without any need for peroxide.

Anyone, who still wants to use peroxide, may still want to use ONLY 3% (NOT HIGH STRENGTH 35% & EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PEROXIDE) just for rinsing mouth or rinsing minor skin abrasions/cuts as antiseptic.

When I was really sick with a virus I drank some 35% food grade H202 straight. I knew not too but I don't think I was thinking straight! Only about a teaspoon. Youch! I had to make myself throw up.

I've heard that drinking 35% can burn the lining of your esophagus, and can cause death.

Ed McCabes book Food Your Body with Oxygen is a good start for learning about oxidative therapies. If I recall right he has things to say about H202

always use gloves when working with food grade 35% hydrogen peroxide; it will burn your skin. I have used a few drops of it in water to wash my fruits, veggies, and meat products. I place 3-5 drops of it into a gallon of milk and juice and discovered that it extended their shelf life by two weeks.

If you're that adament about whitening your teeth (and continuing to smoke, hem) then pay heed to the advice of the son of a dentist:

-Use Crest Strips
-Eat certain foods that whiten teeth naturally
-Cut back on coffee as much as possible
-Cut back on soda as much as possible

After a soda or cup of joe I usually chew some trident gum. This actually works well for me because my job requires that I travel often, hence not much time to stop and brush the pearly whites and lots of coffee required (dad gets on me about that all the time).

I was at the Greyhound station the other day in NYC and saw mini toothbrushes with toothpaste already attached at a newsstand. That is actually a great concept.

As for your method of using hydrogen peroxide - with all of the other ways to whiten teeth out there that is one I'd definitely avoid at all costs!

H2O2 35% must be diluted in a glass of water.

I am up to 17 drops per 3 glasses a day.

It does give me energy.

My story... I was having a difficult time not staying extremely tired and sleepy because of hypersomnia which came about this last year. A reversed condition of insomnia which I had all my life.

I tried many things and tried to stay away from drugs or chemicals. I got to the point where I was going to bed about 5 times a day even if I couldn't sleep I was miserably tired all the time. Hypersomnia is a horrible.

My Endo prescribed Nuvigil which was too costly for me and then put me on Ritalin and I didn't want it due to all the bad things I've heard about it. But I felt so tried and sleepy all the time I would often go to bed 5 times a day or try to nap and just lay there dead tired.

Eventually I had to go back to taking Ritalin. I even found that it worked better when I upped my dosage and found most folks with Narcolepsy or hypersomnia take loads more per day than I was. A nurse at my Endo's office refused to tell me how much she was on but it was a high dose of Ritalin compared to my 5 or 10mg twice a day for the same problem.

I started H2o2 recently with 3 drops in a glass of water 3 times a day. An go up 1 drop per glass every day.
I'm up to 48 drops or 17 drops in 3 glass of H2o.
I thought I wasn't really feeling different at first and yesterday I noticed I didn't need Ritalin..
I have not taken any Ritalin since I was at 15 drops per day. H2o2 was slower acting in the morning but I'm off of Ritalin..

Only 2 naps this week (2 and that was because I took my son fishing at 5AM.. My muscles are still tired but I'm not as sleepy and that's a really big deal. I was about to apply for disability. There is hope.

I know an older Lady who is up to double the amount of H2O2 and says it's the best thing she ever did for herself. It has given her lots of energy that she didn't have before. She has bought a large bottle to share with her brothers and sisters who lack energy. Her brother has dementia and she is hopeful it could help that.

This is caustic until diluted so one must be careful with it.

Taste? I use filtered water and it taste just the same so far as my filtered water.. I add a little pure lemon juice with no Vit-C to water sometimes to give it some flavor.
It's horrible if drinking before brushing.

check out his old gents story about H2O2

So buy the 29% peroxide and dilute it with less water, so you still get the amount you want. If you want to dilute it to 3%, for example, instead of using 12 parts water to 1 part peroxide use 10 parts water to 1 part peroxide.

Since you need to dilute it anyway, it doesn't matter how concentrated it is, by changing the amount of water you mix it with you can still achieve the same concentration.
