After reading an article on Care2 about Hemp Milk as a substitute for Cow's milk, I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried it?
Also, I just checked - Vitacost carries it for reasonable prices.

We don't drink milk at all, but we do use it sometimes over corn flakes. We tried hemp milk a long time ago, and we didn't care for the taste, also I remember it to be too watery. My husband likes the almond milk and I prefer the rice, although sometimes we mix the two over cereal.

Yes, I like it unsweetened. It is low carb unlike rice milk(high carb) and it has high omega 3 content. Omega 3 has anti-inflammatory effects on the body.
I also eat almost zero carbs unless from fruits or veggies. You may be able to find it on sale at your grocery store as it is not a big seller. It is one of the better milk alternatives for health content.
I ordered/received some hemp milk from VitaCost but haven't tried it yet.
I do also sometimes use Almond or Rice milks, but was interested in the lower carb benefit of hemp.
It does have a balanced level of Omega 3 too and lower carb which is good. Carbs are important to control due to insulin spikes which can affect health in an un-healthy way. One thing about rice milk is that it is higher carb and rice is actually a grain and grains promote inflammation. Hope you like it. I will check vitacost to see if it is cost effective. Thanks.
