Anybody ever try Kobe steak or beef burger? They just showed about this Japanese beef again on the travel channel, and it is heavily marbled in fat and supposed to be incredibly tender and flavorful.
The cattle are hand massaged on a daily basis, and given beer to relax them. These practices are supposed to make this beef extra good because there's no tension in the animal. It's supposed to be VERY expensive, but if there was a restaurant near me that served Kobe steak, I'd have to try it. They show it being prepared on a hot rock, as a regular grill would not be acceptable for this special beef.

Thanks saved, my mouth is watering, LOL! I'd rather have it prepared by someone who knows what they're doing, but if I can't find a restaurant, then I may click on a Kobe rib-eye and take a chance.
I've been to Japan many times and not sure if I've ever had anything considered "kobe", but then again I've been to Spain half a dozen times and never had sangria while I was there for months at a time.
There's a restaurant called kobe steakhouse within a mile of my house that I can't say there's anything remotely healthy there.

Much of the kobe beef cattle is raised in Hawaii, because there is very little land for cattle. Cattle requires land. Hawaii is expensive land. But the cows must be happy.
