He is right when he states most people are deficient in iodine, and has success treating thyroid issues, however, vitamin D and selenium also play a huge part in thyroid health.
I would suggest most people are deficient in several nutrients, and the only way to be sure is to supplement with a good colloidal mineral supplement.
Toward the end he did mention magnesium and vitamins in general, however, more focus should be placed on getting all 90 nutrients in optimal amounts, including iodine.
He is also right about the RDA for iodine being much too low.
