I absolutely realize that, and use that expression often, either in the positive or negative. I bought a cheap pair of headphones a long time ago from Big Lots for my Walkman, they are "Koss" brand. Well, I just opened the package, and I could hardly hear the radio with those headphones. I can't even use them, and I told my husband that it serves me right, because you get what you pay for.

I think NatureMade might be a bit better, but that's just an impression. Here's a listing of some multi's that are rated, I think the list may be valid, as some products like Source Naturals has a high rating, of course they have a high price too. https://www.multivitaminguide.org/Spr...s-reviews.html
I like that website but what about the others like calcium or iron?

That's sad, Koss used to be a good brand. I have a set of Koss bookshelf speakers and they are high quality.

If that happens to you again, take them back! Everything sold has an 'Implied warranty of merchantability'; It must work for it's stated purpose.

Two of my favorites: "You don't always get what you pay for, but if you don't pay for it, you certainly won't get it."

The corollary to Ben Franklin's quote, "The bitterness of low quality lingers on long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten."

True enough... I suppose one could argue though.. If you pay for low quality, and you don't get the low quality, can you complain?

Just playing devils advocate

Incidentally, I remember getting free stuff out of things with prices mislabeled as $0.00... So... I guess in theory yours could work too...

Oh Man!!!

I was at the store and in the cooler was a LARGE chunk of halibut marked at $0.79! The checker noticed, but didn't balk. After all, they had marked the price.

Cannot remember the corollary to 'Absolute power corrups absolutely', but I do remember it was sofa king funny!

I'd like to add another angle to the question of "which brands do you trust", as it isn't just about price; after watching a documentary last night on GMO's, which vitamins are GMO free?!?! I and my family have had our eyes opened by that documentary! We avoid processed foods and generally cook from scratch(well my wife and daughter!), but it appears that GMO are creeping(death - Metallica song)into many of our foods/drinks/vitamins. We are lab rats! From new born babies(some instant formula's have GMO's in), and have been linked with allergies and gut problems.
So, can folk post reliable non GMO brands as well as price comparison too - please! I am about to embark on a research project into what foods/drinks/vitamins/veg etc are safe to buy, I know it'll be a big undertaking! What with fluoride in our drinking water, aspartame in a variety of foods/drinks/crisps etc its become a nightmare! Oops forgot chemtrails! Is it any wonder why we are a sick, sick world!!!
Namaste,
rev

Quitting crisps was tough for me, but even the best ones over here are a cornucopia of free radicals due to the peanut oil they're cooked in, not to mention all the pesticides used to grow peanuts.

You quit crisps? No way.... Man.... I would never give up my crisps!

However, what you said about peanut oil it true. I try to check my labels carefully and unfortunately, a lot of crisps don't tell you what oil they were cooked with (at least not that I have noticed)

I like the kettle cooked ones best, don't know what kind of oil, but they sure taste good...

Sorry, it was a joke... Chill

Well my apologies then - See how some words that have multiple definitions can be taken out of context? I read trojan as another word for shriller? I think that's the right word.

Again, my apologies. Moving on now... nothing to see here

Peanut.

Yep, 'Kettle' brand is good.

Tim's Cascade was good until they got bought out. Naturally some genius thought switching oils was the way to go. When I'm eating grease, i want to see, feel and taste it!

I was once ONCE a huge purchaser of Barlean's products: oils. NOT ANY LONGER.

Not until they tell me exactly what Lifes DHA is and why there is such mystery over whether it is genetically modified or not. I understand trade secret, but I believe there was someone that found the items to be GMO and Barlean's hushed it quickly. Barleans uses Martek's gmo dha.

DHA used in infant formula products comes from genetically modified algae

I have some Barlean's Organic coconut oil. Says 'Extra Virgin'. Unfortunately, a lot say 'Extra Virgin', and there is no such thing in the coconut world.

This is like the 6hp compressor with a 110v plug. Pure BS.
