\r\n \r\n I had a sugar test where you drink some liquid sugar stuff and they test you for 2 hours and my doctor said I need to watch what I eat so not to become a diabetic. Lower my carbohydrates. Don�t eat potatoes, rice, bread, and pasta which I eat too much of. So would a red potato, brown rice, wheat bread and wheat pasta be ok to eat once or twice a week? My cholesterol is also high.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Thanks, I will just avoid potato, pasta, rice, but maybe some wild rice once in a while and no bread. That should help a lot along with turkey and salmon once a week because I\'m just not much of a meat eater with my high colestrole/\r\n

\r\n \r\n I think brown/wild rice would be a better choice over white, also wheat pasta over regular. You may consider taking a Chromium Picolinate supplement. Also, Bitter Melon is good to regulate blood sugar, either supplement or natural food.

\nCinnamon is the simple thing to take and use. As Saved1986 recommended, a cinnamon stick \'tea\' sipped throughout the day is very good for diabetics. I\'m in the same situation as you, and I take a Chromium Picolinate daily, NOW brand, 200 mcg. So far, so good.\r\n

Default I have to watch out for diabetes

I had a sugar test where you drink some liquid sugar stuff and they test you for 2 hours and my doctor said I need to watch what I eat so not to become a diabetic. Lower my carbohydrates. Don�t eat potatoes, rice, bread, and pasta which I eat too much of. So would a red potato, brown rice, wheat bread and wheat pasta be ok to eat once or twice a week? My cholesterol is also high.
