I've been trying to keep up with this via BBC America. Sunday was grand. A flotilla. Too bad it was raining and very cold. She stood through the whole thing, more than I would want to do. The Duchess of Cambridge was ever so beautiful too. I love to see those long canal boats. I wish someone would film a tour of them sometime.

I have been watching the weather for the past few weeks, because I am planning a vacation for the last 3 weeks of May 2013. I know it changes each year, but I need to know what to pack. 2 weeks in Paris and one week in Edinburgh. Sorry, not England, but I do want to spend a day and night in London. Seems like I'll need winter clothes. Darn. I only want to take a small suitcase. I don't see how the Queen stood on that yacht in the cold and damp in only a dress and long light coat.
And I'm so sorry for Prince Phillip's health. That puts a damper on things for the Queen's celebration. He had a health situation not too long ago. He needs to take it easy.
Yes hopefully Prince Phillip�s health will improve seeing as how he was quoted saying something to the effect that when he dies he would like to come back as a virus and kill off half the worlds excess population. I find it difficult to respect royalty with that kind of mind set.

He reminds me of VP Joe Biden. A real gentleman, a good man, but loose on the tongue. However the prince is not a politician. Each tend to put their mouth in motion before their brains are in gear. Over the course of 80+ years in public, the prince is bound to make several gaffs, and probably even embarrass the royal family.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city, a rich cultural heritage with many impressive old buildings.
