Default Someone very knowledgeable... read! I need your knowledge!!

So until last year on May 13th, 2010 (yes, I remember the date) I woke up with pain in my groin from playing soccer the day before. I've had this pain continually off and on and it never subsided. I had to start wearing a jock strap as advised by my urologist, and he couldn't really see anything wrong with me.

He scheduled a CAT scan, and just before I was about to go in, I declined because I feared the radiation. In July, I started feeling very VERY VERY fatigued. Like no fatigue I have ever felt in my life. I struggled to pick up a pen it was unbelievable. Soon afterwards, I broke down into a depression (I had never experienced or known what depression was in my entire life) to where I lost interest in everything, EVERYTHING, had NO appetite, it was terrible.

Ever since this breakdown that lasted 3-4 days... I have been searching for answers while consisently I feel somewhat depressed, but very mild in comparison to what I felt during that short time.

I have been searching and searching article after article ruling out things like lyme disease, candida overgrowth... etc. I have had oral thrush on my tongue for 2 years now and never even realized what it was (not sure if that means I have a systemic overgrowth). Anyway, my doc put me on antibiotics because he suspected maybe lyme... but it did nothing, and I was tested TWICE for lyme, and every single strand came back negative...

What is going on!! Anyone have ANY, ANY! Insight possibly to maybe what's going on?

The combination of groin pain and chronic fatigue symptoms could be due to a lot of things or it could be coincidental and the injury has no relation to the fatigue. You would have been better having a Scan initially to rule out a hernia. Check out this list and see if any of the symptoms ring a bell.

Hi Even Exchange and welcome to the forum

I agree that the catscan should be done as long as that pain is there. It could have been from an injury or it could be something else but how to know?

I recently went through the anxiety and depression associated with pelvic pain. Although I am sure my problem is quite different than yours I fully understand the phsychological effect of not knowing coupled with feeling terrible. Mine turned out to be a localized vascular issue that I treat with supplements now and occassionally a fairly powerful anti-inflammatory pill for a couple of doses at a time.

The scan may give a clue if there is some structural difficulty or organic changes. A cat scan cannot always make a full diagnosis but it may be able to see something. I would not worry to much about the radiation. A one time catscan will not be a big issue. Its the repeated ones that people get into trouble with. Make sure they cover your thymus and thryoid and really, all the body parts they are not examining.. Insist on it regarless of what they say just to be safe.

The fatigue could have a variety of causes and not be related to the pelvic thing at all. But depression can cause real fatigue! they can be very interlinked.

I would like for you to read at a few places to broaden your knowledge base. I am providing this link to another forum that I write on because this is the most updated version of what I have on the topic of lyme and microbial issues. Please try to take it all in. I do not trust the current diagnostics for Lyme. They are hugely inaccurate. Even if you dont have lyme there could be a different microbe giving you trouble. Even the common epstein barr can give the symtoms you are having as well as a wide variety of microplasma. It would not be unwise to rule out lyme. This link will we an eye opener for you. This is suppose to be the most informative forum on the use of mms and I have put this info there for their use and consideration.

I started college in 2009, and since 2010, I have had bowel issues. Off and on, I would regularly have diarrhea, and still to this day, don't have normal bowel movements very often.

I was put on Nystatin swish and swallow for the thrush. It was a weeks worth, and at the end of the prescription, the yeast was almost completely gone.... but then I ran out of the medicine and it came back full force. I am currently taking "Syntol" once every night before I go to bed on an empty stomach. It is the only probiotic proven to eat yeast without having that one particular harmful strand of bacteria in it (can't remember it, but it was banned in Australia). It is super expensive ($70 per bottle), and God only knows if it's working... I have no idea to be honest. It is supposed to treat Systemic Yeast Infections.

The reason I thought at one point maybe I have a systemic yeast infection is because not only did I eat a lot of junk food and drink alcohol but my symptoms included:

Fatigue
Sudden Joint Soreness (Knees, Shoulder, Lower Back... appearing for a few minutes then disappearing, at very random times)
Depression
Brain Fog

I also have a problem now where I am unable to hold it if I have to urinate... I am 22 years old, and up until after that soccer game... NEVER had a problem holding it. It is unbearable to hold now, and I will literally pee my pants if I don't get to a bathroom immediately it is ridiculous.

So I have just been exploring multiple ideas... I think maybe that the groin injury is having a lot to do with it (I still have pain sometimes in my upper groin and below my testicles)

About 10 years ago, I took Syntol. I could not tell if it was helping me. At the time, I was dealing with various other health problems. Perhaps I will try again. Thanks for the reminder. https://www.swnutra.com/syntol

Well, I doubt your groin injury has much to do with fatigue... but candida has everything to do with it.

add yogurt to your diet and make your own and here is the instructions, I make it all the time.. you will fortify it with a capsule of the probiotics that you are taking. My favorite probioitic backed up by studies is VSL#3 avalable from www.crohns.net
How to make powerful probiotic yogurt:

I will say that your doctor was negligent on having you on nysatin for only one week. It should have been 14 days minimum

I suspect that you have irritable bowel syndrom likely caused by candida in the bowel. Still I hope you get to go through the material I put in my other post. Sugar feeds candida as does usless carbs.
