Default Help with OCD

Hello all,

I visited my therapist for the first time in a couple months. She diagnosed me with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder years ago. The symptoms have not gotten much better over the years. I obsess horribly, being unable to concentrate on many things (including being with my kids). I chew my fingers until they bleed (I KNOW...OUCH!!!). I could go on and on.

I am 28yrs old, 180lbs. I could probably lose 10lbs.

I eat fairly well. However, I do not exercise as much as I should (gym 1x/week currently).

My therapist recommended I visit a psychiatrist and get on medication for OCD. However, I wanted to see what the forum would recommend that would be natural. Vegan diet, low GI giet? I have been to a Naturopathic Doctor before. However, I felt like I just spent a lot of money in the end with little to no results.

I am willing to try anything. Daily meditation, journaling, ect. BEFORE getting on prescription drugs.

Any thoughts would be great!

I am attaching my IGE food allergy panel from my old Naturopathic Doctor, done in 2010.

Any thoughts on my neurotransmitter test taken in 2009?

Also, are IGG & IGE allergy tests for real. I have had 3 taken years apart and they are mostly ALL different. Also I don't seem to have reactions to the foods they mention.

What are your guys thoughts on a Metagenics multivitamin to support overall mental health?

Also, what about St. John's Wort for OCD? Isn't it supposed to work like an SSRI (which are sometimes used for OCD)?
