I have bad sensory overloads which is common in autistic people. However pills did not stop me from having that either. One of my aunts approached me at a family gathering and asked me if my diagnosis was Autism. I told her that I was diagnosed with paranoid and disorganized Schizophrenia, and that I also suspect that I have Autism. Just from the fact that I told her, and think, that I \'suspect\' that I have Autism shows that I have a severe lack of insight into my disorder. Lack of insight into one\'s illness is a common symptom of people who have Schizophrenia, so I suppose that is where the confusion is. It is like the two disorders have conflated with each other.:con fused:\r\n \r\n <!-' + '- / message -' + '->\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n <!-' + '- message, attachments, sig -' + '->\r\n\r\n | \r\n

Effexor withdrawals and needing some advice.
I'm new here and joined hoping to get some help and advice.
I'm 26 years old and have Asperger's Syndrome. Though recently they have been changing the Autism Spectrum and that term will no longer be used (I think). I guess I will now be known as "Mildly Autistic". Anyway, I don't think I should have ever been put on antidepressants in the first place. I was never depressed. I was and still am autistic! I have bad sensory overloads which is common in autistic people. However pills did not stop me from having that either. It did make it happen a little less often because the pills made me feel "numb" and "non caring". I actually have no idea why I was put on antidepressants when I was 15 years old. I've taken Xanax, Celexa, Effexor and Welbutrin. I've decided to stop taking Effexor. I stopped Welbutrin a long time ago. It was easy to get off of. Effexor not so much. This is not the first time I have tried. The withdrawals are very bad with this drug and I usually cave. This time I've gone nearly two weeks and I refuse to give up this time. I'm having pretty much common withdrawals from it. Stomach problems (diarrhea) muscle aches, dizziness and heart palpitations (not sure if the last one is common). While looking around online for some natural ways to help alleviate some of these symptoms, I came across several posts of people recommending Choline and Inositol, Fish Oil, Magnesium, and B Vitamin Complex.
