Default Female Libido

Guys, I have been trying to search the web for a few days now, but I am very confused.

My story is I had been on birth control since I was 16 and now am 23. I stopped taking birth control within the past six months mainly because I have next to no libido and it was just making me depressed.

I want to find natural herbs or vitamins that can help balance the hormones and bring back the natural testosterone levels that I fear I must be missing. I NEED my libido back!

The more I Google, it seems the more confused I get.

You need to go to a doctor of some sort that specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement. It also may take longer than 6 months to straighten out but they might be able to help.

a few herbs known to increase testosterone are Ginseng, Sarsaparilla https://www.natmedtalk.com/wiki/Sarsaparilla, and Yohimbe (not for those with high blood pressure or heart problems). I would try to use these herbs only one at a time, and give a couple of months to see results before evaluating their effect on you. * As with any herbs or supplements, it is always advised before usage, to research thoroughly for any and all side effects or drug interactions that may occur.

Thanks, I don't have any blood pressure or heart problems nor do I take any drugs (except for the occasional glass of wine).
Unfortunately, I only have the most basic of health care through the state and am not sure I could afford to have a doctor do anything for me. I was hoping for a more natural, at home approach. So long as it's safe. If it's fairly safe, then I think all I would have to lose is the money spent.

Out of the herbs k2c mentioned, Sarsaparilla seems it might have the least amount of side effects, however I cannot find any website with reviews. I even tried Amazon and only one person has reviewed one of the Sarsaparilla products.
Ginseng I have at least heard of, but it does seem to have some side effects that scare me away a bit. I will probably research these things for a long time before I ever decide whether to take them or not.

Has anyone else tried any of these? Would love comments.

What I was going to say where my post went bad is that throwing herbs at a situation that is not properly diagnosed my take forever to rectify, if ever.

I also wanted to say that libido for women is largely based on MENTAL and EMOTIONAL attractions not testosterone levels, especially at your age. The pill probably did not affect your testosterone levels much but your estrogens and progesterone could be pretty messed up. It may take more time for your body to restore homeostasis. Homeoapthy might be able to help. Estrogens oppose testosterone and they need to have a good balance. If your estrogens are high it may feel like your testosterone are low. The fix would not be in raising testosterone but in leveling estrogens or progesterones... hard to say without a test. The lab work might cost about $250.

Kendrin,
Eh .... sorry I am not female but since you are looking for a cheap solution, try this ....

Recipe #1
Green Kernel Black bean 150gms
1) Rinse and soak black beans for 8 hrs.
2) With the water black beans soaked was in, blend it.
3) Simmer the concoction over a small flame till it boils. You have to stir it while it is simmering.
4) Drink 300 - 500cc of the black soy bean milk everyday.

Recipe #2
1) Rinse black beans.
2) Over a small flame, fry the beans till skin cracked. It would take about 15-20mins.
3) Grind the beans into powder form.
4) Store in the fridge when not in use.
5) Drink with hot water like coffee or tea powder.

Since it is a natural food, please be patient with the recipes. Changes will comes in 2-3 months.

I have had the same problem with loss of libido due to hormonal imbalance and maca root helped a lot! You can get it at any health food store! Do some research on MACA ROOT it is AMAZING at balancing hormones naturally and has many benefits. I take it in the powder form and just mixed it with a shot of water and shoot it back. I literally had 0 desire and I noticed a HUGE difference and did not take long at all to feel the changes. I think maybe a week!

Here is some info on it: https://www.peruvian-maca.com/pages/h...maca-root.html

I have issues with hormones as well. I am taking vitex and maca. They both help to provide the body with what it needs to balance hormones properly. Maca is known for increasing libido, while I have heard of vitex lowering it. So perhaps try the maca? It gives energy as well, I've been taking it for a week and feel a lot more energy in the day time. I use the powder and mix it into my morning smoothie. 1 teaspoon is 3-5 grams and that's a high dosage. I feel a lot more stable, which is one of my issues with hormones and mood swings, so I know something is helping! Can't say much for libido though since I have a really high sex drive myself. But look up the maca and libido, it is supposed to help a lot.

I agree with Maca as well, it's a well known "cure" in South America
