Default Homemade seasoned almonds

Yum. I just experimented with seasoning some unsalted dry toasted slivered almonds. They were so good I wanted to share with you guys.

Mix into the almonds:

powdered flax seeds to balance out the omega 6's in the almonds
garlic powder
onion powder
paprika
oregano
sea salt
pepper
*dehydrated powdered green beans

mix together with a little olive oil.

It was sooooooo good.

*Green beans have a complimentary amino acid profile to the almonds. Next time I'll add some bean crackers to the mix for more amino acid balance - complete protein snack.

I have many jars of dehydrated organic vegetables (some whole, some pulverized) to easily add nutrients to any dish.

I'll have to try it. Does almonds have too much omega 6's?

I love hot stuff and have been using Sriracha and olive oil, but I think I'll try mixing garlic powder as well.

I love hot stuff too. Garlic will kick it up a notch. This recipe actually got me to clear my throat a little later. lol Yes, nuts are very, very high in omega 6's. Vegetable oils, nuts/seeds, and animal fat are the highest of all food groups. Almonds, macadamia, and hazelnuts are the lowest of all the nuts. Either flax or chia helps balance it out because they have a lot of omega 3 and virtually no omega 6.
